100mm Fred, you low-ass mofo!! Youll need 20"s to keep the front splitter off the kerb!
Tom, how exactly did you get rid of that engine-moving-three-feet-every-time-I-change-gear-so-cant-drive-smoothly-therefore-get-a-sl*gging-off-my-dad-every-time-hes-in-my-car problem?? And does this...
Pah... 80mm! Im holding off to be the first to break the 100mm barrier!!! Even if I have to design the suspension myself!:D For the timebeing Ill just have to live with my cringeworthy 40mm! And offer to give lifts to strangers so I can have passengers in the back and make my car look lower...
My speedos really far out now, cos theres a camera near me in a 50 zone, and everyone always slows to exactly 50mph, but now when I slow to traffic speed my clocks showing 43mph!!! This would suggest that its now about 15% out!! Ive yet to check it properly though. As for the slowness, I was...
I paid £1600 for insurance for my group 3 car this year, and I was 20 and I live in one of the best postcode areas. But I had no NCD and one claim. And that was after a lot of shopping around. So £1200 at 18 with no NCD sounds like a very good deal. I knew a lot of 17 and 18 year olds whose...
Ive got the blackest side repeaters of all of you probably, cos I made mine myself with about 20 coats of tail light tint spray!! Reason is you couldnt get smoked ones back when I bought my car, so I had to improvise!
My votes for pink, incidentally.
Aly, I can probably guess which garage it was! I have experience of three Renault garages around the Glasgow area and I found the service at two, both Arnold Clark branches incidentally, to be absolutely appalling! Was the guy who gave you the rude response the service manager at Bearsden per...
You can deck it 60mm on 17s with no scrubbing at all! Fred, the Monk, and several others on this site have done it and can carry four passengers plus ICE and still not have any problems with scrubbing. You dont lose full lock either. Ive lowered mine 40mm on 17s and again, theres no real...
My Scorpion has a good bit of burble from the backbox! Admittedly I have had the Scorpion stainless Grp A bore centre section with no secondary silencing fitted, but Im fairly sure the backbox itself is what gives the sporty tone (as de-silencing would just increase volume??). Must vary from one...
I wouldnt personally have thought so, as theyre available from sites like http://www.eurocarparts.co.ukhttp://www.eurocarparts.co.uk for about £50 and theyre really not that much hassle to fit. I have a friend who got a 172 bumper for his 1.4 and he had to fit the fogs, he reckoned they were no...
I dont think the Yellow Top batteries are particularly different, in terms of size and weight, from OE batteries. Also, the battery compartment/bay is quite a bit larger than the OE battery so theres room to accomodate a bigger unit. Shouldnt have any trouble if youre putting it in as a straight...
That was my planned solution as well, Halfords do two types of battery for the Clio, a replacement OEM spec one and a heavier duty, deeper cycle one for only about £5-£10 extra as far as I can remember. Im thinking that will do nicely.
Ah, its all very well to say that, but when you see Dr Dre out in his Bentley surrounded by his many biatches going round corners dipping on three 20" wheels with the 4th up in the air, youll know what its all about! And theres nothing gay about it.
Well, yeah, he held back for me cos we were testing our relative top speeds! I didnt actually race him acceleration-wise to 125mph or I would probably have lost sight of him!
I should add that it was on a traffic-free M-Way, in clear visibility and that we werent doing those speeds for any excessive length of time before I get my ears bashed for irresponsible speeding, as always seems to happen!! lol. My mate sold his MR2 soon after that, needless to say, and bought...
I have had a race up to 125 on my speedo when the car was still fairly new (now I have no power, my cars knackered!) against an MR2 (both cars on standard wheels), and his speedo had showed over 125 as well, he was astonished to say the least! His car was topping out at almost the same speed as...
Now that is a very good point! I think I will need to employ a 24 hour armed guard to sit in my car everywhere I park and make sure some TWOCing son of a b**ch doesnt half-inch the whole lot! Ill need to factor into my budget about another £600 for a top notch security system to make sure it all...
Gibbo, mine buckled when I jacked it up on the front jacking point, and I used the exact correct position or jacking point as shown in the manual, and using the factory jack. I was a little bit pissed off to be honest, but its not that noticeable so I havent done anything about it.
You can get fogs cheaply from eurocarparts I think. As for lowering, I have to agree. Ive not seen a new shape Clio on 17"s without being lowered, as everyone I know lowered it first before getting the rims (including me!) but I do think theres a lot of room in the arches and the sides of the...
A joke eh? Hmm, perhaps most Scottish football is not exactly top-notch play, but I really think the Old Firm teams are the exception. This afternoons CIS Cup Final was a pretty spectacular game to watch. The class of certain players in both teams is undeniable. I admit that they might not be...
Ive got BK166 5-spokes (they look like a 5-spoke version of Kahn RS-S). And an oval Scorpion exhaust. Most people can hear me before they see me due to the exhaust and ICE! I usually park either on Highburgh Rd. or Byres Rd. depending on how long I am in for, and Im there at least a couple of...
