When i turn the ignition on and whilst the car is running there is a constant drowning noise that sounds like a fuel pump priming but its constant.
Any ideas?

So its been on the rollers today and have been told that mechanically its sound but the readout its showing that the cruise control is kicking in at just after 5k. Yes the cruise control that i haven't got, that was the best way to describe it. So the brake pedal switch is going to be...
its not a hex hole its an allen key hole on mine. you could smash a larger allen key on or hex but would need to be careful of splitting the threads. or just undo the 21mm mount and replace the top mount?

Once ive unbolted the strut do i need to be caerfull of the driveshaft falling out of the box and leaking gearbox oil everywhere?
if the bulb was flickering then i would go for the bulb personally. If your changing the bulb on one side you really need to change the other as they will be a difference in brightness. When first fitted they will be yellow until they burn clean properly.
To test you could take the working bulb...
