MK2 for me -
having seen the new stlye Clio I doubt I would get the next version - its been well and truely beaten with the ugly stick!
Could help resale prices on the current range tho.
I went for the 2 as it was the newest I could get without the sunroof.
As I was going to be spending a fair bit of mulla on a low milage one the very very small possibility of roof creases caused by the sunroof put me off the 3.
The 1 was out as I wanted the newest.
But the best you can...
The 3 is a nicer colour of blue (monaco blue) but apart from that they are ideantical.
Opps: the phase 1 is a wee bit different but not really noticable!
Williams 2 cause thats what ive got;) And a Williams 1 because thats what other people have too!
TBH I think most on here say it doesnt really matter - just get the best one you can!
Take a glance at some early 1990s car magazines and youll see how much more highly regarded the 16V was than any other hot hatch of the time. Frankly, people thought that the ERST and FRST (and FRS1800) were crap.
Actually Ben the FRST and FRS1800 both got good reviews from Autocar/What Car...

For Mild Modding the Fiesta as its lighter than the Escort and the Turbo is smaller and a bit more responsive. My stage 1 FRST against my Mates Stage 1 ERST was a...
Mine is totally standard - would love to get a chip/decat/filter but cant afford it - and now Scotland have drawn Holland in the Euro play-off theres another 3 day jaunt I cant afford coming up.
Anyone tried Diamondbrite?
I think thats what its called. You get a autherised dealer to cover your car in it and it stays on for ages. Im sure I read about it on scoobynet a few years back.
Some people look at the Glass & Parkers guides but these can be way out. Especially when it comes to sought after cars. My 2nd ever car was worth £2,500 according to these "guides" but it sold for £7200.
The problem is that these people dont use autotrader - they usually know nothing about the...
RS2000s are quite good but underpowered and the fact the engine is a dog to tune and weighs a ton doesnt help. Tell him to get a fast car like yours instead to a warm hatch family runaround!
BTW my GF just bought a VTS but it has the customary french car electrical problems:cry:
Anyway a...
