Class - mine has a almost identical history - the owner was 60 and the car had only done 26k.
Ive had it a year and its been superb - just had its MOT and the tester said he hadnt seen a car that clean for its age before!
Just goes to show if they have been treated well there doesnt seem to...
My 185/55s take a certain stretch (very bumpy and twisty) of road near where I live over 10mph faster than the 195/50s can. The 195s make the ride too harsh too get over 100mph on a straight the 185s managed no problem. I am bascially slower along most of the 5 miles to loch ness with the 195s...
The handling and ajustability are perfect on the Williams - I wouldnt touch the suspension with a barge pole.
Maybe If you can make it go quicker round a track you will certainly loose speed on the bumpy b-roads. If its that easy to make cars better they would be coming out of the factorys...
When I first bought it I thought it was everything I expected just a bit faster than I thought it would be.
After a year its grown on me to an extent that I really dont think I can part with it.
I need the money for a bigger house or Uni if I go but I cannot part with my car. Having owned 10...
My girlfriends VTS has had loads of electrical problems including constant stalling, rev needle sitcking, speedo needle sticking at 50, lights going out etc. She had some of the same problems on her 106.
So has my workmates Saxo at work - its still dead as they dont know whats wrong. This is...
My Williams has had only a few minor things done in the last year.
The Alternator belt needed replacing.
One new brake pipe.
New rear brake pads.
And the worst - a electrical fault in the alarm immobiliser.
Just had the MOT and needed nothing - its used everyday to get to and from my...
The Mk1 V6 may look better than a Cup but if you sitting behind the wheel does that really matter?
I mean all you see is dashboard!
I often wonder about cars that look great but when you are where your meant to be - in the drivers seat it doesnt matter what it looks like.
Im not having a...
Yeah - sorry I havent even read the post at the top LOL
KS has been arguing with people in driving tales for ages about old v new etc with a few people (most havent driven the cars in question which makes arguning a bit pointless IMO Lmao). I dont think he should let it turn into a personal...
One of the reasons King is this way is people keep knocking the older cars. Some of us choose older over newer as we think they are better. I wish people could just accept this but apparently not.
Oh and as I keep on saying like a broken record "better" is totally subjective and mostly down...
Hi Daz there is a good one on here when its back up and running:

This artical is from Perfomance Car 1998 between the following cars for the Ultimate Hot Hatch Champion:

I think the engine and brakes are open to modding!
Im not tho.
and as far as my favorite one goes I like them all but buy the best condition one you can - the number 1-2-3 is irrelevant!
I drive both every week as my Girlfriend has a VTS. Her VTS is an R reg one but she got Citreon to reprogramme the ECU as it went faulty. Its definatly faster since but BHP I dont know.
They are quite evenly matched.
Handling wise the VTS has a sharper turnin making feel a bit more fun...
Depends on what roads you drive etc.
My old Fiesta RST had the standard no suspension travel and was like a go cart - great for flat roads as it gave loads of grip.
Usless for bumpy back roads as with only a small amount of suspension travel your wheels spend less time in contact with the...
I hated it when cars started getting power steering - without cars all felt so different. A Fiesta was so different to a Golf etc. With power steering they all feel much more the same these days.
If you dont tell your insurance company its illegal as your insurance is void
If your emmisions are too high without it its illegal and they check cars in laybys up here sometimes.
If the noise of the exaust becomes too loud thats iilegal too.
There was a really low milage one on there too at a traders for about £5,000 - problem is they all look nice in the pictures but usually turn out to be complete dogs when you get there*
*not saying these cars in the pics are dogs BTW;)
Anyone know if there are power advantages with the Unichip over then non-mappable ones?
Just wondering if a standard superchip or a Uni chip is the way to go for my car - will only have a filter and de-cat so im not sure there will be any advantage to a Unichip
