Williams 2 - 1 year 2 months.
Now the longest car ive owned most cars only last 6 months in my drive (had about 10 cars)
Picked the Williams as it had the looks, handling and perfomance I wanted and the econemy without having to mod it. The biggest plus was it turned out faster as standard...
What Cupra is it - The 2.0 old style or the 1.8T newer style?
I would take the Williams over the 2.0 old style - but the newer 1.8T although not a great hot hatch will suit her better than the Williams.
I could go for a different make but the quieter the better as I prefer the sound of a engine;)
I will contact Renault on Tuesday and see what they quote me - if its too high then the Magnex stays on.
Cheers Guys - yeah Bri its the booming thats starting to annoy me. Not sure why after a year of having the magnex on that its really annoying me now - could be im near to turning 30 and im about to buy a Diesel Volvo, tartan rug and soup flask;)
Does anyone know how much a standard one from the cat back costs?
I would phone renault but they are shut today and kwickfit are useless.
The magnex is annoying me so it could be going if the standard one is cheap enough!
Thanks
Carl
I agree Ben on the handling front but having owned a tuned turbo the lure is always there.
It is supposed to be a fair bit better than the standard Cupra.
There must have been more than 75 surely as ive seen 2 in Inverness in the last 2 weeks.
Was behind one of these tonight - quite fancy one but had heard the handling wasnt great to its good to see Neil praise it.
Out of my price range at the moment - I am also happy with my car aswell -if its bits start falling off and im left in the rush hour with no power by the Clio its high on...
What about a compromise - not a 185/55 or a 195/50 but a 195/55:o
To be honest I stuck 195s on mine due to the finances I had (or didnt have) at the time.
They definatly improve general grip on flat roads but you also loose lots of B road speed.
The RS probably wont be out for up to 2 years so will the 182 still have the "throne" then anyway? I dont know when its due but the next shape Clio will be out be then I think.
Hi - Jim - I found that the 195 gives me more grip but less give - although this could be the Toyos.
Basically on flat roads I now have better roadholding but on the more bumpy B roads the less give mean less speed.
There is a specific bit of road I drive on that is pretty demanding and I...
.......does this extend to the tyre sizes or have you all done like me and gone from 185/55 to 195/50?
Just wondering as my Toyos are starting to get near to the end of thier life. Has to be said a very very short life!
Just looking for opinions on the difference the size makes as some will...
Thats a good price IMO - dont worry too much about milage tho its about how its been treated too.
Mine is a low milage but has been treated very well - Ive had it a year and apart from a faulty alarm nothing has gone wrong.
You will find that parts are expensive - some stupidly so.
To be...
Welcome TomS - I highly reccomend the Williams;).
On the current prices you cannot get too much better value for money.
Best bit of advice I was given when joining was forget about whether Williams 1, 2 or 3 and get the best you can find for you budget!
There are always cheap ones - usually for a very good reason.
Mind you the price will always have to drop as the car gets older - you can get the original 172s pretty cheap now.
Ouch - I havent had anything go wrong except the first week I got the car - I am waiting for everything to happen at once as it always does. Everything is so expensive on them that it does make you want to sell it.
I agree on the FTO - dont got for less than the V6 - I know someone with one...
You cant swap policies you can cancel your current one with tescos (will only maybe get some money back) and start a new one with privalege. Could work out more tho than just paying the extra with Tescos.
Im 29 but also live in the Highlands which helps a lot. Would be around £700 for a...
