How much better than standard are they Daz?
Also is it just one pair of bulbs I need to replace?
Put some high performance ones from halfords in my last car and they made no difference.
This:
Osram Silver Star
5 Star award - Best Buy Award - Beam: 96.9m
"The flagship bulb in Osrams range, the Silverstars 75m figure was only a fraction better than that of arch-rival Philips (right), but it performed significantly better at 50m. Add a price advantage, and the Osrams plus 50...
Cant see the attraction of having "toys" on a car. Do they really make that much difference?
Air con - in the UK? LOL
Just wind the window down;)
ABS (not a toy) - had it on my last 2 cars and never needed it - maybe one day I will but if im thinking like that id buy a volvo.
Bright...
Would a Magnex de-cat and a panel filter make any difference to my Williams.
Probably get both for about £100 - what does everyone think?
Ive been thinking about this for a while but never got round to it - just some cheap mods - would they make any difference to the power - or just make it...
Will it not be a bit faster lower down the revs but slower up top?
Im not sure but does the torque not move up the revs with the cat taken off?
I could be talking ballacks!;)
wonders Ive driven a few things a fair bit - Classic Scoob (218bhp) - VTS - RX7 (280bhp) - RS1800S - RSTurbos. Nothing is as much fun - I find bigger cars less chuckable too so that could just be me. Its not as fast in a straight line as a lot of things but giving it full pelt on a back road is...
Neither have I - seems a strange one. Cant see why it couldnt be done but I cant see why they would have done it. RS only started in the late 90s didnt it?
I think the Cup will have a great rep in the future but not a Classic. Its missing that something xtra. I dont know what as I havent driven one - dont know what Renault got right with the Willie handling - maybe its as people want more comfort these days - really the Cup should have been even...
The biggest thing that counted against me buying a 306 GTi-6 was the fact that lots of 306s in the range were given the bodykit & alloys due to the Focus getting released. It was a shocking idea to have TDs looking like GTi-6s. There are now sleepers tho which is a plus.
In fairness you can go to every car forum online and find similar stories including the Jap and German forums. Just the French forums have more of them.
Oh no - this could be a long thread Jon;)
1) Clio Cup - Fastest - dont think its as hardcore as the Rallye/Williams
2)MK1 172 (not mk2 sorry) Rhyss is very fast - would take the Cup instead if I had the money tho
3)Clio Williams Not as fast as the Cup/most 172s;) in a straight line but...
Hmm - I would have to go to a few roundabouts first for a proper KS stlye analysis but here goes anyway:
In the wet the front and rear brake from traction on a RB pretty evenly and progressivly. Nothing sharp or without warning. Not really understeer and not really oversteer just neutral...
Well mine is a M reg Williams with 32k - build quality is actually good. Ive had one problem in about 1 year and that was the alarm going faulty.
The materials used on the interior arent so good - im comparason to my old Fiesta they are flimsy and theres a few squeaks and rattles. Its only a...
Cheers riplash - Must find out how quickly my cousin got round the ring in his RX7.
The 0-60 seems a bit dodgy as the Willie needs to get into 3rd to hit 60.
My AP22 Times were 7secs to 60 and 17secs to 100.
Top speed is 120mph so far and I dont intend to go any faster;)
Cant get it to run:(
Can someone try it with my RR stats please?
BHP: 163.5bhp @ 6510rpm
TORQUE: 135lb-ft @ 5440rpm
This is Autocars Williams gear ratios which are different from the ones you have listed:confused::
Trans: 5 Manual
1st: 3.09
2nd: 1.86
3rd: 1.32
4th: 1.02
5th: 0.79...
Is the rallye not cheap insurance? What about a old AX-GT maybe. Dont know what the insurance is like on these things these days - im old so mines cheap anyway;)
It has the flared arches and the Bonnet vent/bulge as you have said - externally im not aware of much more difference - the front bumper and a rear spoiler
The CTR is unbelievably fast - really would like one but the budget isnt there. Also for the money they go for there is a lot of other cars to contemplate.
This one is for some of the people on here that dont understand what the Williams is all about as there appears to be a few kicking about on this forum at the moment.
