The coilpack on my Cup failed recently and I had my girlfriends 1.2 16V for 3 days. My commute is 25miles about 70% DC and 30% town driving. I don't normally push the car that hard or drive grannyish/. My 172 normally gets 36-40mpg. The 1.2 only managed 40-43 so not a massive differenence...
I had this. Was water getting into the connector at the rear of the light as the light housing wasn't tight enough to the body of the car. A scoosh of WD40 and a good clean up of the connector solved it.
I'm not sure but the exhausts are certainly different! PH1 uses 1 lambda and the 172 ph2 and 182 use 2. Not sure if the Ph2 and 182 are the same probe though!

I went from a 300Bhp Fiat Coupe 20VT and do miss the outright omph of the turbo but for everyday fun and frolics involving throwing it about the Cup is much more fun! :)
