Not quite that simple, you could actually make the flow worse. Its the curve rather than the size that is the important part to maximise linear flow.

After my coild died cause the car had intermittantly been running on 3 cylinders. After changing the coilpack it was still not right. It had killed the CAT - change dthe CAT and it was all good.

If your tyres are in that state then you should be getting the power down fine - have you had the camber/alignment etc checked?

Will not put into "safe!" mode but will most likely bring light on.

If you disconnect the top part of the manifold you may be able to get grips on the one that has snapped off. Same happened with mine and managed to get it out and replaced easily.
