I'm thinking of changing to the mildsteel Ktec stealth as well with standard CAT as a replacement for my not so great sounding rattly standard system. Havent seen many posts on people that have installed it.
My car revs to 7500 after the mapping with the RSTuner though only when the engine is properly hot. Before reaching temp it revs to 6800 rpm. As for the cruise control I think you need to get a fix from Henk for this. :)
I did my own timing belt/inlet pulley change recently and the car seems a lot smoother and quieter also. The timing is definately right. If it was off you'd be a fair bit down in power.
Common problem mate - You can climb in the boot and open it with a flat head screwdriver - I needed to replace the locking mechanism behind the trim as the solenoid had went - Cost me a tenner from a scrappies!

Just pulls up - I just shove some parcel tape sticky side down into the gaps between the handbrake and the chairs, run a flat screwdriver head over it and then lift the tape back up - does quite a good job of getting rid of all the oose that gets stuck down there!
Its just a few screws (3 form memory - been a while since I took it off!) and then you need to pull it off as there are a lot of wee plastic connectors on the back of it. Doesn't take too much force.
Its the pulley on the inlet camshaft £124 from Renault but cambelt needs to come off to change it so expensive job. Theres loads of threads on it if you search "dephaser" on the forum. I had the same noise (though no where near as bad) and changed it recently when I was doing my cambelt and it...
How long have you had the car? Has it possibly had a "bump" before you owned it? My girlfriends Clio had a small bump and suspension was fixed but went through two sets of bearings beforeI worked out we had to change the entire rear beam.
My only real mod on my Cup is changing the Cup seats for FF ones. Only did that eventually as I struggled to find a mint Cup interior and my existing one was really shabby. Also changed to clear side repeaters and silvertec bulbs.
I chose the Cup as I much preferred the look of it compared to the regular one. Wasn't bothered about the "toys" particularly A/C as I live in one of the wettest areas in the country. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the seats which I changed out for regular FF seats- when I weighed them the...
Hi Lauren,
My girlfriends 1.2 squeaked for a while when turning in one direction. I found the noise to be coming from teh joint in the steering column just above the brake/clutch pedal. With the car running I sprayed WD40 into thi sjoint while turning the wheel from full lock one way to full...
My guess would be dodgy coilpack and maybe not always running on all 4 cylinders
Cams adjusting between phases doesnt happen at 5k - happens about 1800
