Replaced the timing belt, vvt pulley, aux belt and tensioner and the engine mount. What a crap job that is to do, timing is now spot on

Ah ok i get it now. i just normally do it by eye and fingers. thought it was some bodge where you don't take the box out all the way

So you have to move the box back to get the clutch out and stick the new clutch to the pressure plate. if your already moving the box back just do it properly

What the hell is the superglue trick? i've been in the trade about 12 years and never once heard about this. Sounds like what ever it is hasn't worked. might be worth actually doing the job properly.
