I test drove a 182 at 21 and the 197 when I was 23 I guess its upto the individual dealer to decide whether or not to let you drive the car or not. I can see it from their point of view as they must get annoyed when young lads just want to drive the car with no intention of buying the problem...

No they wont but they can only help, and you must have a bad memory as it was very warm last summer. I always find the people who say "you only use air con two weeks of the year" are the people who dont have it, its quite funny!

I dont think its a case of not being able to live without stuff, i think the question is why would you want to live without them? For example why on earth would someone not want air con unless they enjoy sweating cobs on a hot summers day and as for the extra safety elements I think ill take...

It seemed quite quick to 60 but took a bloody age to get to 100, Ive always said 0-100 is a so much better indicator of performance

I dont think the make much difference to the performance and if you declare it, your insurance premium will probably go up, not by much though

I dont doubt the cup is slightly faster but as a everyday car it is missing to much. the interior is awful, it doesnt have air con and the fact that it doesnt have ABS brakes doesnt reassure me either. Thats why I think the 182 with both cup packs is the perfect compromise the extra 10bhp helps...

Some one once suggested on here that all the best enignes where "cherry picked" for the 172cup, LOL Lets be honest the Cup is just a cheap version of the 172, which has overall benefits of pub bragging rights where you can say my car is 0.2 secs faster to 62mph and many disadvantages over the FF
