Get rid of it then, i question why you bought it in the 1st place? surely if you are spending a lot of money on something then you are going to make sure its right for you?
Also I dont care what anyone says 172's are faster than VTS
You must have had the fastest 1.4 Clio in histroy if a 182 couldnt pull away from you until 90mph (top of 3rd) as a 182 will hit a 100 from a standstill at least 15secs faster than a 1.4
Thats what i thought. For me though I do about 5k a year so my 1st service was done on 10k (2 years) so if i carry on at the same rate then my 72k service will be done after 12 years from new, so the cambelt wouldnt be done till then. That seems a long time
accroding to test its slightly quicker than a 172, i think in autocar it was 0.8 secs quicker to 60 and 0.9 secs quicker to 100, I think they put this down to better traction. Although it could just have been a better example i.e on another day a 172 may post better times
Welcome to Cliosport!
If you are struggling to get it sorted then I suggest taking it to Ezra Sugden in Worksop. every time I have dealt with them they have been excellent
I wouldnt bother, basically you will be paying 4k for marginally better handling (I dont knoe but probably hardly noticeable on the road) and then you loose loads of kit.
If you are going to change just go for a much better car
I think the colour was actually called petrol blue and it was one of Renault's ID paint which was about a 1k optional extra the other id colour was liquid yellow.
Petrol blue 182's are as rare as rockin horse poo
Other than the twin exhaust and different wheels the 172 cup and 182 are pretty identical in looks from the outside.
I think you need to decide what you want? if you want all the toys then go for a 172/182 if you can live without them then get the 172 Cup
