you suddenly realise that the person you are talking to about your car knows absolutely nothing about cars ??
I had a conversation the other day with a girl at work.... the fact that i had recently got a new car came up and went something like this ;
Me: "yeah, i changed mine the other week...

well in that case i have that then... not torque steer although what i described has the effect of pulling the car from one side to the other albeit not violently.....

scudetto... i too get what i would always describe as torque steer...
in my previous car, a Golf VR6, it was quite noticeable.... booting it in 2nd and a bit of third, you could feel the front wheels loosing and gaining grip on the road surface.....

quick question on this;
if i want to run a power line from the battery to an amp in the back, how do u wire it so that the amp doesnt drain the battery when the ignition is off ???
or is this a stupid question ???

im sure i saw what i was on about but for vws.....................
it was for checking and resetting the diagnostics etc. on the ecu... i.e which abs sensor was generating a fault code etc.

having just accidentally pulled my ashtray out and seen the socket that I guess the ecu is accessed via, i just wondered ;
is there no software based diagnostics that you could for example run off a laptop etc. ???
kinda what a renault garage use but scaled down and portable ???
