as above really. i've tried the search but struggling to find decent pictures.
i'm toying with the idea of these wheels or maybe refurb my 182 wheels dark anthracits or black.
looking for idea on how it looks
do you not like the standard 172 alloys then? could spend a few quid and refurb them in Anthracite if you do?
that's what i'll do if i cant source some Superlegg's or Turini's in the next month or so (mine are standard 182 wheels)
it's not just the look though - it's the weight. Turini's are expensive because they are lightweight and therefore aimed more towards motorsport. OZ are the same (lightweight)
Wolfrace wheels are generally very heavy, leading to more unsprung weight which will make your car slower at...
Spotted today about 9:20am turning into Lidl car park. Looked like it was on 182 alloys?
I was on foot as my car is with NW Performance having both belts replaced & service. :approve:
Student with a V6?
Fecking Tax Dodger! Parasite on society! Get a job, have a wash & stop listening to the Levellers! lol
looks a beaut!! I'm not jealous really....... ;-)
Passed you this avo bout 4.40 ish head up the A470 towards Abercynon roundabout. Doubt you'd have noticed us but we undertook you in a silver BMW 520 :rasp:
smile next time lol
alright mate - where in Merthyr are your from? I'm from Pentrebach :D
not sure about how the exhaust would fit but if you want it done properly i suggest you give Charlie down at Pro-Speed Exhausts a bell. he'll get it sitting perfectly in no time for you. Based on City Road in Cardiff (just...
72k or 5yrs - which ever comes first.
my car will be 5yrs old in March 2010 but as my service is due now was thinking of getting it all done before winter kicks in
how much would you say that lot would cost me to have done (both full kits for cam & aux belts)?
I only ask as a garage have just quoted me £590+VAT (£678.50 for those without a calculator) and that's not a Renault stealer either!
what does everyone make of that price...........??
^^^fair point. i'm just saying they're basically the last line of defence and not something you really want to skimp on. :approve:
i'd rather spend a bit more and have some meaty pads than spend cheaply and end up with EBC Greenstuff pads........had better stopping power on my old push bike!:dead:
i'm not so sure there is such a thing as overkill as far as brakes are concerned? at the end of the day they're the only thing stopping you from ploughing into the car in front or going through a hedge etc.
if you can afford the DS2500's & braided lines then i would get em (might cost a little...
can vouch for these as this is what i've got on mine. i'm due new ones soon so who knows what might take my fancy this time.
might try Mintex1144 pads perhaps or if i'm flush maybe some Pagid's :approve:
Silver looks good on the Odysey blue as it's quite a dark colour. dont think black or anthracite would suit it to be honest.
stay away from orange though - that looks awful to me.
yozza do a good deal - buy one of their exhausts and you'll also receive a free sign language dvd............ you'll need it cos you'll be deaf within a week! lol
depending on your budget why not try and get yourself into a Trophy - it's the daddy of the 182 family with sachs race derived dampers so it handles better than the rest, comes with recaro seats and the same wheels as the 172 Cup.
just a thought.......
have to say mine feels fine. as said the clutch is heavy compared to some cars but that's about it.
i've had no problems with any clunking or grinding etc. how old is your 172? maybe some new oil for the gearbox could be in order?
i'm no mechanic just trying to look for the simple solution ;-)
it does happen though mate. regardless of what make exhaust you've got there's no escaping the laws of physics ;)
apparently (i've only heard this so nobody shoot me!) the Milltek systems are the worst offenders for it. alot of people's bumper surrounds have been burnt by Milltek exhausts. not...
love the way it sits!! really smart.
there's only one thing wrong with your car now.................them stupid fooking dice!!
get rid and all will be well
are you serious? it's the standard one that looks nasty cos it juts out too far i'd say. having slash cut tips like these ones make it look soooo much nicer as it flows with the lines of the rear bumper which is nice :approve::cool:
Janspeed did a very similar design to this. K-tec used to sell it with a choice of either normal or slash cut tips for roughly the same price.
think the Janspeed one was 2.25" bore originally?
apologies if this has been covered before but i'm not really a techi person when it comes to phones (currently use a Sony Ericsson K850i which i've had nearly 2 yrs!)
basically i'm going to upgrade to a new phone and have narrowed it down to these 2 unless someone has something else they'd...
lovely looking motor fella - really nice colour!
i aint got a Sport badge on mine either. it fell off and it's not going back on!
there's a 1.1 chicken paxo in my village which has a 'Type-R' badge on the back on one side and a 'Sport' badge on teh other side. it's alos got then '16V'...
