Hose between the caliper and the lines on the car - Rubber part that you replace with braided lines.
Front and rear - just if someone knows off the top of their head so I don't have to get it up on a ramp to measure them.
Morning Chaps,
I'm possibly having some brake hoses made up if they don't do a kit. Does anyone know the length and connector type that is currently on the car?
Ph2 172 :)
Cheers
Al
Which side is it?
I did my N/S by taking off the wheel, pulling back the wheel arch liner and then with a bit of feel and hope I unscrewed the old one from the holder and replaced it with a new one.
This was what was wrong with mine.
Pressure switch is screwed into the condensor behind the grill somewhere - can't remember which side it is.
It can be removed and fitted without a regas (did mine without a regas, there is a Schrader Valve behind it) and it has a 3 pin plug plugged into it...
You're going to love that FRP.
Only issue is the Alcon's and they need a service every year. I know a bloke who spent a grand servicing the fronts! (inc caliper service together with discs and pads)
Quite possibly one of the best handling cars out there, it might not be great in a...
I did mine without taking the front bumper off..
It was a b**ch and a bit of guess work with a torx driver. I took the wheel off and then pulled off the underguard and then I could see the lamp and all I had to do was move my hand into akward places and do it with feel.
Took about 10 minutes.
I replaced the pressure switch in mine last year been brilliant ever since, gets bloody cold as well!
AUTO button, set temp at 16 and hit the recirc button, you'll be cold in no time at all.
SO there are more tools than the pin in the side of the block and the locking tools at the back of the Cams?
I did the cambelt on mine with my step dad and I've not had a problem with it since. He's done a few though, had a run of them a few weeks back and even he said to me you can't do the...
Hello Chaps,
The 172 has a decidely rough tickover which shakes the car when stood still and has a noticable missfire to a point where people have said something.
I know where the Pre and Post Cat Lamda sensors are and the pre cat will be changed shortly once I have bought one.
I've just...
I've seen quite a few lately!
There was a Silver 52plate 172 parked up on Womanby Street on Wednesday.
Tuesday I saw a Monaco Blue 53 plate 172 on the M4 around Swansea.
Silver 182 on the A48 Cardiff last Sunday!
I phoned up and they said there were no outstanding issues or recalls on my car however asked for it to come in for a quick check over.
Balls in their court then if it fails.
Morning Chaps,
I want to space the wheels out a bit on the 172 as they look lost a little in the arches, also if my mother can see the wheel in the wing mirror when parking she might be less likely to nail a rim! :D
I've done a little bit of research and I'm unsure on what system to go for...
Well after a bit of investigating, turns out that the connector going into the back of the cluster was slightly worn.
The pins inside were a little loose for the brake light and not making a connection, although were when I stripped down the light, so everytime it went I thought a blub was...
