I've noticed that sometimes my cruise control switch won't turn on. It's the rocker switch down on the panel by the ESP button. Sometimes it works fine, but sometimes when you press it on it just bounces straight back to the central position.
If I press and hold the button in, cruise control...
As Dan says above, I've had this done on my car. Was going to stick a review up in the thread a few weeks later but then the SJM trader section disappeared before I could.
I bought the car from a family member who was its original owner with 49K on the clock, and I had now taken it up to 64K...
Just had a look and there's actually a decent choice of Winter rubber in 205/45/16.
Toyo Snowprox S 953
Goodyear Ultragrip GW-3
Dunlop SP Wintersport M3
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25
Pirelli W210 Sottozero
Michelin Alpin A4
Continental WinterContact TS 850
None of mine fit properly :(. What I normally do is to wind the passenger seat forward a bit, and then put the mug in the pouch on the back of the seat.
The cable to the 12v fag-lighter socket on Ring inflator will reach to do all four corners on your car fine :).
What I meant was that if you want use the 12v fag-lighter socket on one car (your tow-car), but be doing the tyres on another car (your track car which hasn't got a 12v socket) then...
Ta for the comments guys. Pads in the Brembos came from G 172 of-course :). Can't say I'd noticed the grill, but yeah now you mention it...
I'm very lucky with this car - I bought from a family member who had it from new, and were selling as their new 200 had arrived and the dealer had...
Thought it was looking vaguely clean in the car park, so took a couple of snaps.
Recent changes are Cooksport Springs, Full Suspension Refresh by Dan@SJM, front spacers, and Brembo 4pots with 300mm discs from Pure Motorsport. Will post proper thoughts on the changes once they've got...
I've got that same Ring 630 one. Paid £20something from Amazon. It's fine, and the gauge on it reads the same as my digital gauge.
One thing to note is if you're using an extension lead (doing spare wheels on Trackday or whatever) , these inflators use a fair amount of power - the fag...
AA Terms & Conditions:AA service and/or cover does not include the following:
d. any additional charges resulting from Your failure to carry a legal and serviceable spare wheel(s) or tyre(s), except where this is not provided as manufacturers standard equipment. The AA will endeavour to arrange...
I'd rather be paying them the cost of fixing their 458, than paying them the cost of fixing their 458 + the cost of solicitors + the cost of their insurance companies 'admin' fee + the cost of courts.
+1.
And if I really thought that the 3rd party should pay me for the damage they caused, I'd much rather sort it out with the person directly like gentlemen... would end up costing them less as it would't have the insurance companies/solicitors/courts costs on top!
That's all well and good... but in the "a loon hit you and damaged your car" situation, would Greenlight then go and chase the loon in the Courts to recover the cost Greenlight had in paying out for the damage the loon inflicted to my car? Or are Greenlight paying out to me from their own...
eh?
That's from www.moris.co.uk - a popular track day insurance company http://www.moris.co.uk/News/Third_Party_Track_day_liability_Insurance044. Seems to contradict that thread?
Blimey, I've contemplated getting track insurance previously (both for if I stick it in the armco myself, or some muppet trying to drift y0 takes me out, or if I smack it into someone else's Porker)... but I hadn't figured that if someone hit me the insurance company would go chasing them for...
In the Quaiffe scenario with the wheel up in the air spinning and no resistance... would ESP braking the wheel give it the tiny bit of resistance that the Quaiffe ATB needs to work? Just thinking out-loud, not that you'd normally have ESP enabled on track (or at all if you're a driving hero).
Looking for a small hand-held fire extinguisher to keep in the car. Hope to never use it, and would be more likely used to escape from the cabin rather than do any actual fire fighting - if the thing is well on it's way to a fiery inferno I'm not going to be opening the bonnet up to take a...
Just saw that on the PMS site they list the dimensions of their studs. They're: 12mm inner thread (hub) + 10mm shank + 42mm outer thread (wheel nut) + 11mm bullet tip = 75mm total. So minus the 12mm that's screwed into the hub and you've got 63mm of stud left.
Out of interest I went to the...
Thanks for the input guys :).
I'm perfectly happy with "just keep the spacers on all the time". Probably going to be running 10mm.
Thanks, I'd guessed it would probably need a decent length socket to fit down. The pricing of the K-Tec kit is… surprisingly reasonable (must be an error...
