Think its the Gear linkage, need to have a proper look on the morrow.
Drove to the gym, fine, got into the car park, dropped the clutch and braked to let a car through selected 1st and wouldnt go any where.
No Pops, rattles bangs crunches anything, no gear box bits/oil anywhere on the road...
Well just spent my afternoon changing plugs and leads and sealing exhaust joint.
Ended up getting leads from Halfords (didnt realisethey did bosch ones) and got the fancy 4 pin plugs.
Sounded miles better when i started her after fitting the plugs going to let the exhaust go off over night and...
Will have to give them a ring as i ned a few parts from them soon anyway.
Anybody else knoe where I could price up other than Halfrauds, ktec, motor bits.
Deffinately missfiring today, am just going to replace the leads and plugs and give the whole thing a good clean. Where can I get good (not performance) HT leads from as the Halfrauds ones are shite.
Also found the exhaust was leaking from the cat-back joint AGAIN which hasny helped matters...
Saw it sparking where the arrow is. not had chance to do a full service yet as am saving up for cambelt change.
Its not that the car ratles it judders as if someone is lightly tapping the breaks or engaging the clutch.
Idle is very uneven, judders under acceleration and when cruising in the 2-3 rev range.
Checked under the bonnet when i got home as it sounded funny.
Think its the master HT lead was shorting as shown below.
Thanks fr any help guys.
Like them, cant wait to get my body work done and put some black ones on!

Just a coat of black then laquor? if you find anywhere that do any smoked ones give me a shout :D
Just wondering, am looking at breaking my RT and was wondering how i would go about scrapping it after, oviously its not going to be drivable so how would i get it to the scrap yard? also what do i have to do with the DVLA with regards to tax/registration?
Cheers Bailey
^^ yep, the 84v has a reinforced side wall so can handle more weight.
Dont know what benifits this would have on a clio, better handling due to less play in the side wall?
