if you do silicon it as said take it out completely and do it properly, i tried to do a few quick fixes from the inside but it didnt work. however when i took the time to remove the whole frame and reseal all the parts its been fine ever since
cheers mate, not that long to be honest. My time at Taylor James change my approached massively as at uni we could do chops anyway we want, where as i was taught how to structure it better and uses masks to ensure it was non destructive to the original image. Therefore as the masks are still in...
if you can stretch your budget a bit you can buy my canon 10d off me, although its older technology it is a high amateur / semi pro model and therefore retailed over £1250 when new. whereas the 450d range etc where all built to a budget as they were only £400 new. The build quality is fantastic...
I did a two week internship at Taylor James last week, they have one more person starting this week although he is much older (about 50) and not done much in the way of PS work. Once he has completed his two weeks they are reviewing the work done by all the interns (not sure just how many they...
Thanks for the comments guys,
yeah the tyre mark is in sand so i think it looks right but maybe i just need adjust the opacity of it so its not quite as harsh.
cheers guys :)
Was a bit bored with the ****e weather and all so came up with this

Start off simple mate then when you have got the basic shots down you can start messing about with the light positions etc.
Most of the above shots use simple lighting set ups. Look at the eyes in the photos above to see the type of light and positions used. If we look at the last pic as its...
bargain, they look good and surprisingly better in the silver than i thought. do they feel any different to drive being lighter and having better tyres.
will look epic like this :)
is this the kit you are using buddy http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/meguiars/deep-crystal-3-step-system.aspx
the kit still uses a form of cutting compound in the form of the 'restore polish' albeit a mild one however it is important to realise that it is the combination of pad and polish...
i did mine as follows:
sand bumperstrips smooth working up to about 800 /1200 grit, apply 3 coats of primer 1200 grit each coat including the final coat. apply 2 coats of paint as base coat and 1200grit between coats. then do a final layer of paint (do not sand this). apply 3 coats of layer and...
i use an ultimate detailing machine (UDM) and it seems to work well, especially for beginners as its less aggressive than some so a bit more on the safe side (obviously different pads and cutting compounds will effect this) mine came as part of a sonus kit from autopia (had to import it back...
i know what you mean mate, i have had a couple of press passes for silverstone and in terms of access you cant beat it but the pressure seems pretty crazy. one of the other paps i was talking to said at big events he often has a guy sat in the press room with a laptop checking the pics and...
i was posting that in reference to just tiger sealing the skirts on
and even the proper skirt need the sideskirt clips rivetted to the car. i think i only used 5 on each side or something like that, you can use a load more. technically the clips are just a wedge which allow the lip of the...
i originally did my skirts as per my guide http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=336465
but after a while they started to come away so i bought some sideskirt clips which pop rivet to the car and they fit so much better now
before:
after with clips:

did another 2 :)
did this one with a green colour cast like the matrix - the pic is one i shot of a mate at uni as part of a sin cities style comic book (obviously this is the orignal and has not been sin cityfied lol)
ooohhh nice find, i had to play with the exposure levels bit to get it looking better as i found the set ones a bit harsh, it made my pics really dark. i also found if you keep the original image and duplicate it then change the opacity of the movie style layer after you flatten it a bit it...
quick question mate, were you using manual or autofocus for these as they appear to be a little soft in focus and lack clarity. If you shot them using manual focus you may want to check the little dial by the viewfinder. the dial is there to allow people with glasses to still see through the...
pretty much as its just as much effort trying to get it off whilst still attached to the car as it would be to take the bumper off, it has tabs with wedges on them that need to be pushed back through the holes.
a few more all drawn from scratch, i dont have xbox live so all items are made by me not group decals bought and put together, never tried doing a proper drawing / manga style before so quite pleased with my martial arts warrior lol
skyline skyline :)
and my improved CF bonnet
cheers
James
you wont be able to make a 182 exhaust fit a 1.2 as the 182 has a flat floor in the boot where as the 1.2 has a wheel well in the boot. k tec do a 182 style exhaust for the 1.2 but it doesnt fit the 182 cut outs in the bumper, the only other option is to go for a custom one, i made my own.
my...
