that depends on whether the malfuntion has damaged both the top and the bottom end of your engine...i suspect that you will only have to replace the top...
the very same thing happened to my friends celica...
yeah true, i will get a second opinion 2moro.
btw, i previously owned a vw polo gti the diff/gearbox on that went, and it didnt sound anything like this...lol
the issue was diagnosed by a mechanic, but i think that he was trying to fob me off, after failing to diagnose the real problem. its because if the diff had gone the noise wouldnt disappear when the car was in neutral and the engine had been turned off. but in my case the noise remains, i think...
If I were you I would fix the car and then promptly sell it...the car seems like it has been abused...and is probably hiding a multitude of other problems...
p.s. how much did you pay...?
yep...
if you get caught by the police...you will be fined/receive penalty points...and your car will have a prohibition notice placed on it...which will require bumpers to be fitted...
the noise seems to be coming from the front passenger side...a mechanic looked at the vehicle today...but he could find nothing wrong with it...so i'm gonna take it to a renault specialist 2moro...
I can hear a funny noise when my vehicle is in motion...the best way to describe it...would be a very slight (chugging) noise...I took it to a mechanic and he diagnosed an odd shaped rear tyre...I have now changed it...but the noise is still there...
and suggestions lad?
The mileage is very low for its age...I would be weary as this could indiacte previous engine trouble...
Also the car could have been left sitting around for years...and this would weather the vehicle...
