I was interested in this 172 until i realised that it didnt have xenons, I have sent the guy numerous messaged querying this, but he keeps stating that the car has got them.
What do you guys think?

what i wrote makes perfect sense...

i spoke to a renault mechanic (main dealer) ...and he told me that "the original belts are good for 70k...but for peace of mind, one should adhere to the 72k/5 year rule"...
he also owns a 182...and has only ever seen 4 vehicles (172/182, sub 40K) with snapped cambelts in the 10 years that he...
you should check your aux belt for cracks...i say this because i looked at a 172 with the 42k on the clock the other day...the aux belt was full of cracks...so i walked away...

i was gonna buy a 172 with the very same noise today...but common sense told me to walk away...even though the seller kept insisting that the noise was the "twin cams"...lol
