isn't the gtt just a turbo'd campus engine??? no, not even close, as for insuring one in a clio, it cost me £30.00 to put it on my insurance from the valver lump, all that was needed was an engineers report. and they are fun, lots of fun, when you get traction that is!.
mine has been in performance gti, 8 page feature or so, been in revs, couple of pics in max,, fast car as well i think, dunno what else, lost track. have emailed pics to you victim.
i think age has a lot to do with it, mine has alloys, roll cage, engine transplant, custom exhaust, bodykit, lots of internal engine work, charge cooler, buckets, paintjob, the list goes on. my insurance is £400.00 all in. if your gonna tell them, tell them everything. which i would advise.
mines £400.00 for a clio gtt, thats with everything declared, cage, bodykit, paintwork, rims, brakes, buckets, charge cooler, fmic, and internal work all declared, fully comp, no limited milage, also insured on anything.
yeh around town no problem, i have to take it careful this weather as im loosing traction if fifth. as for humping willy owners, it slays them, and yes i'll go to a rollers to prove, but top end my car will be right royally stuffed, as it simply runs out of gears, but as i was once told, if...
mine is a gtt conversion, still waiting on final power figures, when i finally get it rr'd again, should be around 200bhp, but still quick enough to upset local willy owners.
you will need to talk to an ice supplier, you will probably need to go for an alpine or sony unit, as they have input for the remote cable you need. the cables are available from autoleads.
as above, just watch and enjoy, some you may have seen, some you wont.

my valver has a fairly heavily modified gt turbo lump in it, as well as cage, paintjob, rims, exhaust, bodywork etc etc, if your interested, let me know.
cant really notice, as the cars charge cooler is so good, its winter all year for me........but on a serious note the old problem i have is the carb freezing when it really cold as the charge cooler plumet the cold air way in to sub zero temps, causing as stated the carb to freeze up.
i have the powerflex bushes all round on mine, have been on for around 2 years now, had to replace the whole of the front due to faliure, ie worn or spilt. con in my eyes. should have stayed with the oe stuff.
off the line it stuffs um, and the odd williams too. well my local ones anyway. insurance wise isnt a problem, my policy went up 35.00 to cover an admin charge.
if ither of you live near stansted airport, or surrounding area you are more than welcome to go out for a spin in mine. its not a standard one, it has a few extras, but it will give you an idea. offer there if you fancy it.
had an arse of a clio driver following me in my lorry for 22 miles today, his car was'nt fast enough to overtake, but he still needed to illuminated the ground behind my rig for the entire journey. whats the point, its not foggy. next time im just gonna stop and reverse in to the little...
if you push the fog light button again it will turn the effing things off!. it does'nt look cool, even with just sidelights on, you just look like a knob. rant over. p.s. your tossers, p.s rant really now over.
to get a 5 turbo lump fitted is 500 quid, all you have to do is get a complete one from ebay for a couple of hundred, and job done. you'll have the brakes suspension, everything you need.
i had power steering put on the 5 turbo lump in mine. used a resovior from a 106, and pump from a 106. then rear engine mount had to be changed to get pipes to connect to the rack, and then powering it was was another story. so all in all, i wouldnt bother.
mark fish is a top bloke and has only been building proper race cars for 20 years or so, so i doubt he knows what he is on about!. maybe just maybe, it is 210bhp, why not phone him and ask, or just put his work down as per normal, and his claims are not like lad in any shape or form.
