Ah right! That explains why its connected to the U bend pipe. What would be the best thing to use? I have another pipe on the way that doesn't have this extra tube on it... If I just stuck an oil breather filter on the end of the pipe, would that not end up getting clogged up with oil that's...

I noticed this a while back but I am in the process of fitting an induction kit at the moment and I keep noticing it... Look to the top right of the engine bay, just to the left of the PAS fluid tank. There are two screws and what looks like a plugged pipe just below in between the screws...
