There's a thread on the renaultsport forum about this, I printed it off and took it to the garage when I asked for mine to be done, on the (correct) assumption that they wouldn't know what I was talking about.
The remap improves things 100%, no more kangarooing down the road when the engine is...
I have a 70-200 as well, by chance most of my favourite shots are with other lenses though! While the 18-200 has some limitations when the light is poor I like the flexibility of the zoom range. Unlike circuit stuff you may only see the cars two or three times on a rally so the 18-200 gives me a...
Sorry... just trying to help as you didn't seem to have much of a clue about driving on snow/ice :S
I assume your Clio has wider tyres than the Fiesta? Wider tyres go over the surface of the snow/ice more, skinnier tyres cut through it more thereby giving better traction.
Go and find your nearest Council salt/grit bin, pinch some, put it on your drive, problem solved.
Just done my drive in preparation for the snow tomorrow :dead:
D200. Most of the shots were with 18-200VR lens. Clio S1600 was with Sigma 10-20 as I was perched on top of a wall looking down on the cars. SB800 flash... sometimes use a SB600 remotely as well, but not in the two night shots above.
Some of mine from 2008...
Didn't go to any events in January but my friend's dad bought an ex-McRae Focus WRC and I got invited to a test day and got a spin in the car
February... Andrew Burton and Shelley Rogerson sideways on their way to second place on Rallye Sunseeker darn sarf...
More powerful, can be used as a master flash to control remotes, does strobe flash, built-in bounce card and a few other bits.
I use both for motorsport/portraiture, a 600 is fine on it's own for general use.
Aye, car 34, came past me looking a bit battered. Phil Collins put the Ascona on it's side on the junction before me.
We did Temple Newsam, Langdale, Greystoke, Ae, Newcastleton, Bewshaugh, Broomylinn, didn't get charged either... had a media pass but went to non-speccie places anyway - I...
lol I recognised the grass banks of Greystoke and the hairpin in Ae, wasn't sure about Langdale although it looked like one of the Yorkshire stages by the surface.
My lot were up on't moor in Langdale then I did a 90 near the finish of Greystoke before driving through Ae to a hairpin near the...
We certainly did. A few of us travelled around together over the 4 days, all sleeping in the cars. I'm sure a lot of people don't see the attraction but it's brilliant being in the forests at night with mates when there's a rally on, the spotlights of the car piercing the sky, BDA engines...
lol thanks... the lighting for that shot was Nissan Pathfinder headlights and the "special effects" are exhaust fumes from a Rover 45 that was parked in front!
I think yours look better than the others. The first of yours would be improved by not cropping the front of the cars and holding the camera horizontal but the second one is good I think.
Who put a big pole through the Integra's back window?
I agree with Rhino about the cropping. Other things:
1. The tubing/chair or whatever it is distracts from the car, maybe move any stuff like that out of the shot
2. Consider using flash in such as pic 6 to light up the car but keep the background darkish with the dramatic colours
3. Also on...
If you're meaning the purple blob then that's caused by shooting into the bright light... should be cured by altering the angle a bit so the light is more to the side.
