Sorry Matblack.
Its a factory fit option only. Its not the full mapping system.
It gives you spoken directions with pictograms on the radio display.
There are after market units available.

You are a geezer!

My wife has been buzzing around all weekend in her new Clio 1.4 16v Priviledge. It has the sat nav system (pretty bloody good as well!)
She set the system up with the male voice.
Well, bugger me if she aint got.....
HUGH LORRIE
telling her where to go!
LOL

Anything you put in the air intake will restrict the flow of air. Manufacturers spend loads of time developing their engines to give the best performance and duribility. If having a SWIRLY thing in the intake worked so well, wouldnt they fit it as standard? I think this device is BOLLOX!
And...
I have only been active on this forum since late last year but find it more addictive than any other forum I have joined.
Do I need to get out more?
I really do enjoy trying to help and talking to other members.
Am I sad?
Who else feels compelled to re-visit this forum everyday, and if...
Hi again Leigh.
Not wishing to sound above my station  but I normally issue PDis to the non technical guys. After all, CAT do a thorough PDi at the import centre, so theres not a lot that needs to be done! Cough!
You may be saying easy money coz your are in the sales dept and begrudge...
Leigh!
Are you trying to out do an RTE?
This is my MANOR!
LOL!!!!!!!;)
As Leigh quite rightly points out :D the fuse must be the first point of call!
If its not the fuse, or the bulb,........................
Its something else!
Wiring fault/switch/etc
Just having a laugh! ( I...
LOL Daz!
The acronym of RTE has been translated by some of my mates into some really strange and hurtful comments!
EG: Really Tiny Erection.
Thank gawd for my sense of humour.
They will be OK after physio therapy though, so no harm done!

Leigh, go on spoil her - you know you want to. At that price for a UK spec (sorry import guys/girls) you just cant go wrong. Only got to keep it for 6 months, sell it and get another one! Sure you could sell it for more than you payed! Oh to work for Renault!

Hi BenR
You are absolutely right. Our equipment can only detect a NON MEMORISED fault if IT HAPPENS AT THE TIME OF THE TEST.
Some faults are recorded and that makes our life a bit easier.
Bob RTE
Hows it going in HK?
Hi Leigh.
She wanted the 1.4 not the 1.6 (cheaper tax!!!) She doesnt really need the extra performance as she has to drive to Faversham on the A251 behind slow moving tractors and HGVs everyday!
Its Platinum, 5dr.
Upgraded to climate control and had the Carminat Sat Nav fitted.
Just over...
As far as I know, Im the only RTE here on the forum. There are about 350ish of us in the country and that number grows every year. Each delearship should have 2 RTEs.
As regards to the oxygen sensor, our diagnostic equippment will log the fault but if the ignition is turned off, that...
Nice one chaps.
I dont have all the answers, so its GOOD to see others making a contribution to hopefully finding a solution.:)
Im afraid the only certain way of finding the fault is to take it to your Dealer!

Fair point GR
1. She is MY wife.
2. She doesnt need a 172! Dont forget I have the bike (ZX6R) for speed!;)
And Mikey16vClio, running in for a 1000 miles! (not on your life)
I have asked her to thrash the T*Ts off it once its up to temp!:devilish:
Always makes for a more responsive...
If you dont like the ABS, just remove the 5amp fuse from the fuse board. The braking system will still function perfectly OK but you will have to live with the ABS light on, on the instrument panel. This would fail an MOT, so you would have to put the fuse back in for the test.
Cant really...
Well, being an RTE (Renault Technical Expert) I would have to disagree with Rob.
If you have the service book to hand, look through until you find the service schedule. It outlines what operations are performed during a service.

Hi MyKy16
This problem would NORMALLY be associated with idle and not noticed too much when driving, but it can be felt.
I cant give you a price right now, but I can look it up on Monday.
To make sure my diagnosis is correct before you part with your cash, take it to your Renault dealer...
My wife has just driven home her new car! A Clio 1.4 16v Priviledge.
HOW?
Coz I work for Driveline and she brought it home on trade plates!
Good working for a dealer!
Going for a blast at midnight!
Bob RTE
This is tough one to try and diagnose in a forum.
I take it, it only does this after raining and at no other time? Unlikely to be rain, but anything is possible.
It only happens at idle? Not when driving?
Does it cycle through this behaviour about 10 times? and then its OK?
Here goes...
New ones should go on the back! Saw it on some telly show once. Top gear?
Something to do with grip. If you place the new ones on the front the grip is better but the back end can become loose and break away during cornering.
I maybe totally wrong but I am sure I saw it on telly!
