Wheel bearings will only fail the MOT if they have excessive play and are noisy when spinning the wheel by hand.
Wheel bearings do not, have to be replaced in pairs, just the one that has failed. They are not connected and Renault do not specify that they are changed in pairs.
Hope that...
Its a sad world we live in when we cant even leave our cherished cars in a carpark/outside your own house, without worrying what scumbags might want to do to it.!
Nick it, vandalise it, scratch it!
Makes you weep dunnit!

No, Renault cant confirm this is the cause of your lumpyness, not unless you take you car in for a diagnostic check. If theres a fault with the engine management system this will hopefully recorded in the ecus memory and the technician should be able to offer a repair.
If however, there are no...
A GOOD margin of error is built into fuel gauges (these are not meters) Trip computers are FAIRLY accurate.
While I understand your frustrations that the gauge does read less than you have in the tank, I feel there would be far more complaints if the gauge was in err the other way! Like it...
We are talking SPEEDO cable.
Not too bad to do. Book time is 1/2 hr.
Quick guide.
Remove speedo cable from head and disconnect the wiring.. Tie a bit of string to the end. Go to the passenger footwell and find where the cable goes through the baulkhead. Pull the cable from behind the...
I have not run out of fuel recently, coz when the gauge reads low i put some petrol in! I dont wait for the light to tell me I am low on fuel - coz I already know! If I am going on a long or late journey, I make sure I have enough fuel to make the trip.
I have however, run out of petrol on my...
Side light circuits wiring are BLUE. This wire will be connected to the dimmer switch and therefore reduce brightness when the dimmer switch is turned down.
Hope that helps.

If you want to enjoy the benefits of the 3yr warranty on your new Renault vehicle here is what you need to do. (Applies to cars bought in the EU - excludes Cyprus imports!)
Have the vehicle serviced on time/mileage at a Renault dealer.
If you do not have your vehicle serviced at a Renault...
Excuse my sarcasm on this issue, but do you really need to have a light come on when you are low on fuel? Look at the gauge (Its not a meter) when the needle is near the bottom, its time to re-fuel!
As for the trip computer not registering when the car is low on fuel, its a sign that you need...
Once you have retreived the loose bolt, mind your fingers when trying to refit it. There are some sharp edges around the roof!

You never fail to amuse me and keep me sane!
I will be your chofer and thanks for the correct spelling!
We all want more than we expect from anything we buy and cars are the second most expensive items we buy apart from bricks and mortar.
I really enjoy working for Renault and...
Whoa
The original post of this thread read:-
WELL DONE RENAULT
Must get back to my padded cell - real soon!
Someone PRAISING Renault.
Pass the valium

Centrifugal force paddy - let the force be with you when you top up your brake fluid! ;)
Red (!) + (STOP) normally low brake fluid. (might be an underlying cause of low brake fluid) Loss somewhere or just knackered pads. As pads wear the fluid level WILL drop!
and a YELLOW/amber light (cant...
Definition of a courtesy car.
To provide the customer with an alternative means of transport while their car is being repaired.
Cant see anything that says "OF THE SAME MODEL"
Its a COURTESY CAR - ITS FREE - IT GETS YOU FROM A TO B
What else do you want?
They could have said "Take the...
Mat, Im laughing with you!
As I work for Renault I get a massive discount, UK spec car, full 3yr warranty and all the documentation.
Plus my resale value!
No Probs!

2 points to consider.
1. You have fitted a K-tec exhaust and the Renault MONKIES have had to remove it to replace your gearbox. That doesnt matter! If its now leaking, take the car back and ask them to fix the leak. Dont bang on about how bad they are when you havent given them the chance to...
Well here I go again - another rant!
You get a FREE courtesy car from your dealer and its not top of the range so you get the hump and thrash the T*TS off it. What would you have done if it was a 172?
The dealers get slated off left right and centre even when they give you a FREE car for the...
Sounds simple but these window switches and wiring are quite complex.
The drivers side switch (6 pin) for the passenger window should have a 12v supply in BOTH the yellow wires (ignition on) If you dont have a supply at these wires, first check the fuses. If the fuses (30A Green) are ok, then...
The wobble you describe is normally associated with a driveline problem.
This wobble only appears under load (acceleration) the gear lever will also shake violently.
It can be 1 of 2 items at fault.
1. Offside driveshaft inner coupling (new shaft required)
2. The nearside (gearbox end)...
While I agree that some ppl here have had less than excellent service from their dealer, this is not always the case. As always, ppl are happy to moan about poor service and costs, but how many ppl have recieved good service from their dealer and have posted it here, or does everyone get sh1t...
Well, Ive been called a few names but never a MONKEY before.
Nice to be tarred with the same brush! :@
Im also sure that BMW do offer an excellent service, at a price! Do you complain about prices to BMW? Just a thought.
As for warranty, the terms and conditions are that the vehicle is...
Sorry to have to reply to this post in a negative manner but the lights you have fitted were not supplied by or fitted by Renault but YOU still expect them to pay for modifications that cause problems with the original vehicle wiring.
Bob RTE
Comment please, as im sure there will be some!
Brun maybe right about giving it a good thrash before you take it in for a retest. A cat only works when its up to temperature, but with a high CO reading and all the other figures correct, I reckon its still the Lambda sensor, providing the cat you fitted is sound.

You must press and hold the door lock button UNTIL you hear a bleep other wise IT WILL NOT WORK! This method will set or unset auto locking.
2 seconds will not enable/disable this auto lock.
