the rubber bit is a dust cover for the gear linkage pivot joint. The oil is probably from the gearbox selector shaft seal. On a clio of your phase they always leaked a bit nothing to worry about.
the brake light switch is a double contact unit. the contacts that are relevant to injection/cruise control could fail but the contacts for the lights could still work. Any warning lights on relating to injection?
in aftersales only 1 type of uch is avaliable its just configured to the spec of the car. when they build cars there are 3 types n1,n2 and n3. the aftersales one is a n3 but you just configure it to n1 or n2 spec. prices of uch's are coming down sure their around £160 now + about an hours...
as above posts changing a 172 gaitor is virtually the same as a valver. driveshafts arent that cheap id rather spend £30 on a gaitor and spend a bit of time getting dirty
i have a k-tec but not a stealth. still the same silencer just not hidden. k-tec sound ok without being droney and they are a good fit. probably not the best quality to be honest but they are tops for any warranty issues. Dont buy a magnex proper rubbish fit got rid of mine after 6 months
