Buzzing noise

Hi all,
Newbie.
Got a 03 172 and there is a buzzing noise whenever i turn the ignition on. The main from renault said it was the "air conditioning whirley thingy"
yeh great, what the hell is that?
he pushed the front of where the internior light is and the noise went away. but when he took his hand away it came back.
Any idea where i can get a replacement whirly thingy or how to fix it?

and mine its only a cheap sensor located in the interior light easy to replace i think

^^ It's the climate control fan thing in the roof.

There is a supposed fix for it somewhere on this site.

Normal, if annoying.

On this thread, there's a fan in the black cylinder thing.

If you do more of a search for it, you will find the guide to curing it.

6Yep...It's not a fix either mate...it's a Temp fix! If you want rid it's a replacment bearing i think...

Mine adds to the experience of bein in the car!! haha!! Passengers hate it tho.

I replaced mine, but within about 2 weeks its back again.. dont think there is a permanent fix! its nothing to worry about as been said.. just slightly annoying!

if you want to get a new one ask the renault dealer for an interior humidity sensor.

i think they thought i was strange i just asked them if i would blow up.
Thats what medication does to you.

yer if you get a new one it will start buzzin in no time!

best way to overcome this is to turn the stereo up

what happens if you just disconnect the sensor?? will it effect the air con?

On the later stuff now they have done away with the fan and its just a sensor so no more buzzing.

Just blow the dust out and lubricate with some WD40.

seems to. i disconnected mine and it wouldn't blow out hot air??!!

done that - lasted a few days!

i took myne ou it didnt do anything but my fan a/c blow cold air but i think it needs regassing:S :S
