Just run some coax from the 2nd output on the sky box to the tv in question and get a magic eye from ebay. Then you'll have Sky tv in your kitchen and as long as you buy good quality coax the picture will be as good as the tv with the box connected to it.
I find Vista a lot more stable than XP, I haven't had it fall over once yet. I gave up XP for Linux for 2 years and then moved to Vista because I missed gaming. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Vista.
I think people who bad mouth Vista are usually those that either have a low end system...
Anyone got a CnM minibook?
My better half ordered one which arrived today and so far seems to be working fine with one exception, abi word is defaulting to chinese. If I change the default language in abi word it doesn't save it when you close down. I can't see anywhere in the very basic linux...
I'm more intrigued by what Windows 2003 XP is ;)
OCed = overclocked
BIOS = Basic Input Output System which basically some software on the motherboard which allows your hardware to function together.
Does the error happen at random or when you do something in particular?
You know how they were running a beta interface but you could opt out and use the old one? Is the beta now no longer beta or are they playing silly buggers with me? I find it really annoying how you have to jump through hoops to list by buy it now.
Edit: Found it, at the bottom in small writing...
Not sure you read the article properly. Mojave is Vista. The point they made was that take a bunch of Vista haters, show them Vista but call it something else and they suddenly like it.
What is a standard spec pc these days? I run vista on an X2 4600+ with 4GB ram which is hardly anything...

That doesn't surprise me at all. I have to say that Vista for me at least has been the best OS MS has made and I'm not an MS fan buy, I used Linux exclusively for 2 years.
Here's a 3 month trial of NOD32 http://www.techmixer.com/free-3-month-eset-nod32-license-key-from-nod32club-china/
What they say does work, I did it myself.
Connecting it is the only way to get the updates. It also allows you to plan your route via your pc which can be quicker as you can use the keyboard to type in the address/postcode etc.
Currently using IE7 because Firefox has been giving me compatibility trouble and came across this program http://www.ie7pro.com/ amongst other things it adds spellcheck and adblocking to IE7. Worth a look if your an IE7 user.
Have to say not having used IE for years it has improved a lot...
Just confirming that it's all working now as it should. Used it properly today without issue. Very unimpressed that it didn't work like this out of the box and that updates can so easily make it unusable!
ok it all seems to be working properly, been using it on and off all morning from my desk and not had any problems. Only annoyance I have now is that every time I connect it to my pc it prompts me to install TomTom home when it's already installed. Can I stop this?
From what I've been reading that's no guarantee I'll get one that works. Seems to be down to the software. I've just left it for about 30mins and its found 6 satellites so perhaps it's just very slow after the software update.
Backed everything up and risked the latest update again to 8.010. This time it seems to have worked fine however it's not finding any satellites. If I plug it into my pc and operate the tomtom that way it finds loads of satellites. Confused!
Turned it on this morning ready to start swearing and it's working how it should! Let me plan a route, watch the demo of the route etc without locking up or crashing or anything. Not sure I'll update the software though, don't want to be back where I started again.
Thanks for the help mate. I'm turning it off for tonight before I break it again. Shall have another look tomorrow and see if it will actually let me plan a route without restarting. I got it from argos, also the 3 year warrebty so swapping it shouldn't be an issue.
1 step forward and 2 back. After much faffing it decided there was another update which now lets me set the route and stuff via the pc which is more than it would previously let me do. However, now the tomtom won't get past the startup graphic so I can't use it at all now.
