why is the i.k (pic) open at the top? would it not be more affective if was sealed in? Could i make something up to fit over the open part and fit another air feed, or would this do any harm, ie is there a specific reason why it is open? cheers for any...

just lined my boot with some dynamat, i must say the sound quality has definately improved, and the bass seems a little punchier. i think now i might sell my other sub to keep the weight down as it is deafening me as it is!
