Simple, don't go to ktec. Shockingly bad at mapping, do a search. On a mk2 you could tell by an increased rev limit, don't think that's the case on a mk3. I've done mine with an rs tuner. When you plug one if that on it you can read the ecu log. It shows what firmware it's running with a...

I'd have thought, I bought some aftermarket trendlines and bases from them for a mk2 years ago

Basically you have to buy aftermarket Recaros from Capitol seating/demon tweeks etc. These seats have a flat mounting plate so you can then buy a Recaro to clio subframe mounting kit. The seats from a mk3 have their own specific mountings.

Keep it as standard as you can if its a daily. Set of eibachs, remap done. Noisy zorsts and hard coilovers grate on a daily.
