    Rear brake lines

Looks good that! I need the mounts off though because I've got rust on the shell where they mount

    Rear brake lines

I think the original finish from the factory cant have been much more than that, they were rusty after only a few years

    Rear brake lines

I was possibly just going to hammerite mine, powdercoat would make it the tidiest part of the car

    Rear brake lines

I'd thought the same regarding prepping a beam ready but the hassle and expense of getting hold of one is putting me off. Access to the bolt threads to clean them up is a bit of a PITA on axle stands too. Let me know how you get on as encouragement to get on with my own

    Rear brake lines

That's my intention this summer as it looks like I wont get to drive it, not overly looking forward to it with the state of the bolts but it's a necessity due to some corrosion

Any idea where this goes and screws into?

Might be wrong but it looks like the clip that bolts to or near the thermostat housing

What have you done to your car today ???

That was the pretty side, its cosmetically a bit rough but I dont care anymore. Bit of bodywork one day maybe. Sills are good though!

What have you done to your car today ???

Quick clean the started applying C4 to all the plastics, well annoyed to find another of my newly refurbed alloys has crazed so that's 2 out of 4! Oh and as much as I love flame red I hate how much it fades! Anyone want to swap for an RB?

More flame orange than flame red!

    Rs badges on p2 172

Yes I knew it was quite faded judging by opening the bonnet, bit gutted as I'd finally made up my mind.

I dont think it's going to happen folks, no amount of DA'ing is going to blend the fade. It's going to be worse on the other side if I leave it debadged

    Dynax ub

I scrapped some off in me offside rear arch when doing the fuel flap that was consistently a good 2-3mm. I do like UB but only used the spray form which begins to run quite quickly so to get a thick coat I was finding difficult.
  14. DomP182

    Dynax ub

UB even after several coats still seems like a thin coating to protect against stone chips though

    Dynax ub

Not really got around to it yet, Coronavirus and an open fracture to my little finger have got in the way of spending money and working with two hands! I think I'll wire brush as much as I can then coat in hydrate 80 before an epoxy mastic type underseal like the one BH sell. Doesnt need to be...

What have you done to your car today ???

Stripped the rear interior out to check over and treat my sills again only this time with BH Hydrate 80 and S50. Pretty tidy for a once neglected 02 plate

    B-shaw’s PH1 Exclusive

Great job on the sills mate, never been an Exclusive fan but this is a different beast

I've only washed the dirt off for now, I'll DA it tomorrow as I might as well while it's off then make a judgement but the paint is considerably darker underneath. I think flame red is a bu@@er for fading as most reds are.

Well I've popped the clio badge off and with a clean the word Clio can still clearly be read due to faded paint so I'm really unsure about taking the other side off now

Yeah I think I'm going to do it, it's not like it's not reversible in the future

That's what I was thinking, much problem with faded paint around the old renaultsport badges?

I'm bored and no cash to pump into the flamer but I do have a 200 style rs boot badge, I'm torn as to whether to fit it in place of the standard badge or over the clio badge holes. Standard, 197 or 200 badge? What are peoples opinions?

    BG 182

I've just done the very same job on my sills today, drivers side was about the same as yours but passenger side was near enough totally clean. What are your beam mounts and where they mount to the shell like? They are the worst bit on mine so they whole rear beam and mounts will be coming off...

    Eaaaaaasy cheap mods 182

Ph1 and now ph2 are beginning to rust there probably due to blocked drains, I cleaned mine out and flushed with warm soapy water before a rub down of any rust then BH hydrate 80. I'll follow that up with some electrox primer then a good coat of BH s50

    Eaaaaaasy cheap mods 182

Yep suspension refresh although can get expensive if you cant decide where to stop. But one thing I'd do is whip out the rear quarter interior to check for sill rust. Checked mine again today, still none on the near side and minimal on the offside.

    Eaaaaaasy cheap mods 182

I've done mine no issues at all, I wonder why some cause massive vibration issues

    Single wiper conversion

My eyes! Thank god car manufacturers didnt buy into any of the car molding trends with their own production designs
  28. DomP182

    Single wiper conversion

Definitely not a good look in my opinion, a bit 90s Max Power

    OneTime's Racing Blue 182

This was local to me, had we not been heading towards this mess we find ourselves in I would have been tempted to have a sneaky bid on it. Looks very tidy too, Enjoy!
