I ma having the exact same symptoms as you, lumpy idle and jolty power delivery but only when the car is cold, after 1 mile or so the jolty acceleration has gone but still lumpy idle. Let us know how you get on!

So basically after you shut the bonnet, give it a tug and see if its nicely secure. If its secure after you shut it then it wont flip open. Simple no?

That same bolt came lose on my Mk1 F4R conversion and managed to eat itself into the wiring loom (starter/alternator main cable) which melted my whole loom :(

Has anyone had this issue before where when you lift off and then put your foot back down there is a slight hesitance before the engine responds? Iv noticed this once or twice before but today more so. Any ideas? Thanks

out of interest, why did you not go down the route of a more powerful engine. Wouldn't have been much more difficult.

Yeah I had 172'd mine aswell! funny how I had a gilera 172 and now I have a clio 172! Had a go on a 4 stroke 210 and that was crap!

I used to have a runner 125sp, loved it! ( until I got robbed at knifepoint for it :dapprove:) So tempted to get another....

I had a quick look earlier but I could not see how to drop the roof lining enough without damaging it? Any advice would be appreciated.

All I can say is that I have never used a torque wrench changing mounts and never had any issues!

Na, just painted and bolted on, I dropped the wing off a few weeks back. Anything has to be better than a wing with gaffa tape holding it together and tbh it looks spot on!
