What is there to go wrong with them? Surely they are just a connection? :S
I am indeed a sparky, but I don't have any drivers small enough for those holes in the H/U. bit of bent over wire will do the trick nicely though!
Basically it is very difficult to tune any stations in and when you finally do get a "fix" on a frequency it just goes on and off as you drive. Very annoying, I don't like listening to CD's constantly.
Any ideas?
Just had this fitted by a powerflow dealer near where I live (its called topgear in St. Albans if anyone is interested). I had a look under the car and it was a very good fit, seemed to be bent nicely etc. and most importantly sounds great. On idle it is near enough silent, and when driving it...
from my experience and others I have heard, gungum is s**t! Just goes brittle and breaks off.
Yeah but im asking if normal silicone will be good enough?
Juts wondering if it will hold up to the temps? I will be using it post-cat so shouldn't cause problems for the 02 sensors. Anyone done this before? Only asking because I went into halfords earlier and they didn't stock any high temp stuff.

Cheers guys, I met up with a mate who has a 172cup earlier and his sounded exactly the same so im happy its ok now.
Why is the carbon canister going so mental?
The amount of times I have bought battery chargers/jumpstart things from argos and brought them back lol. I just see it as a free rental
30 day no quibble refunds FTW!
As above really. With the ignition on, engine off, the throttle body is making a fairly loud noise/whine which doesn't sound healthy. Good or bad?
Patrick
edit: Oh and also, with ignition on, there is a sound that I can only describe as an old school printer going on around by the drivers...
I dont know of anyone local with an RS tuner unfortunately. Maybe I need to start going to local meets lol
I bought an RAC reader from argos earlier, its going back tomorrow ;)
Ok, so the car is having limp mode issues. The guy I bought the car from (davesport172) told me about this before I bought the car. He said that once in a while the engine management light (heartbeat monitor) would come on an dcar would limp, quick restart of car would see it off again.
So...
Any update on this? I am getting limp mode problems on my car and also yesterday the emission light decided to come on and hasn't gone off since.....Although my exhaust is blowing but don't think this would cause it!
BTB? I have watched youtube vids with yozzas and they seem very loud? No?
When I say expensive I am comparing that with the parts I can get from ECP for £150. £200 is alot more money! Albeit they are probably very cheap badly fitting parts!
their website is shite it barely lists any parts and I have even just tried searching the part number i got from the shop earlier and it is not showing :dapprove: 20% off would have been nice!
Well that was the original plan, yes. Keep it up to a year I reckon.
Im just worried the ECP bits will be s**t and not fit/sit properly like most of the other tosh they sell.
Just went to Eurocarparets and they want £79 for the centre section and £65 for the rear box. What do we reckon? I had a look at them both and they seem to be of a decent quality, made by a company called klarius.
