rotten eggs in 172 ?

my 172 (2001 ) with aircon has started to smell of rotten eggs ( in the car, not under bonnet ). could this be an issue with the air con ? seems to come and go ? too many brussel sprouts ?

Think the cat sometimes gives out whiffs.. normal even on brand new cars.

The aircon can get smelly if it's not used for a while because of a build-up of bacteria. Do a search on here, I think it's easily sorted

cat convertor or somethimes bacteria in the a/c

could be your catalytic converter, air/fuel mixture may be too high and so burning the cat, or high sulphur deposits on the cat

Eggy smell normally means sulphur which is normally down to your cat.

Smell in the car is generally caused by bacteria in the A/C as already said, You can get an A/C treatment from halfords / car parts retailers.

You close all the windows, leave the car running with the ac on recirculation, and set the canister off.

Give it a go, there ony £10-15, May aswell whack in a new pollen filter while your at it!
