Why say that then if as you admit your probably never going to meet him.
I appricate what your saying just seems a bit harsh.
Now what you mean though if ever you do see him at a meet or something youll leave a safe gap behind him;).

Ravo I dont know whats happened with you and turbo 16v and nor am i sticking up for him but relating to your earlier comment. He never said he was going to use this flammer on the raod let alone melt your bumper so why come back with a threat like that? (Bit harsh)
I appricate youd be a bit...
yeah most alarms do it so that if you press the button but dont dont open the doors etc with a certian time it locks and re-arms itself. Its incase youve just accidentally pressed the key and havent noticed.
A good feture as long as yor door sensors work.

Just looked at my car insured again and the best i can get the quote to is 2,700 pounds with my current insurance company who previously insured the car for the best price i could find.
Done everything i can to lower the price too, best alarm, tracker, stored in garage with CCTV everything...
there said to not be properly run in till 80k. As long as you service it reqularly it should be fine mate. Treat her well and shell last alot longer.
Mark
no im only 19 and think it might have even been less than 125 pounds. Cant remember exactly how much now though but knew with the price they had quoted id have been a fool not to.
Mark
that what i explained to them. No engine or wheels etc most of the time. Just have to tell them where its normally kept. Its also good as theyve insured mine for if its on a trailer etc as my other car insurance didnt cover that.
Mark
sorry to hijack but does anybody know if they will insure a car with an engine transplant? Got insurance with them at the moment and its a great price all declared, just dont want them to refuse when they find out about the engine change.
Mark
the steering lock still works as normal, you still need to put your key in and turn the ignition on for a push button start anyway if its wired to the ignition (like it should be) and not a constant positive , so doing that would take the stering lock off.
Mark
think youd have to drill and tap the block to add a oil pressure, level and temperature sensor.
Know nothing about RSIs but if its basicall a valver bottom end with a 8v head theres probably already a tapped hole, but dont know.
Mark
just stick a little all in one sub and amp box in from motorworld or something. Thatll give you a bit more bass, not take up much room and isnt perminant. Like you say its going in a wiliams not a ICE van.
Mark
why cant you mount normal speakers upside down?
I got a set off audio barn components in the door cards and want to mount them the wrong way round.
Take it this wont be possible then?
Mark
its only because the stock wiring cant handle high currents and some of the alpine range have large current draws, if it say it needs a direct battery connection, connect it direct to the battery and dont take the risk. If you connect it to the stock wiring and it cant handle the current the H/U...
looked a bit more into it today.
Foranyone intretsed:
First gotta change the V5, and phone the DVLA and let them know,
Can take it to have an MOT with no tax, and once its got an MOT i just have to take that with insurance cetificate and V5 to post office and can get it re-taxed on the...
^^^
Yeah i know points come off your licence after so many years. Might be worth checking how many. Could save you alot of worrying.
Good luck mate

If its only a little bump, eg just dented the front wing or something its probably worth while taking a photo of it and being honest when you sell it, say it had a small bump, and its been repair, theyll proabably notice it anyway, and then show them the photo to prove it wasnt serious. They...
does anybody know what an engineer would actual do? does he just make sure its safe? Only ask as you cant really read the engine number so how would he know what engine it is?
Mark
What do i do bout cahnging the V5? havent really looked, can i just fill in the bottom or the back and send it back.
Also how do i get an engineers report then? do the RAC do it? or can i just take it to a local garge?
Mark
who do i need to tell to make the car legal agian? How do i go about changing the V5?
Will the insurance need a engineers report?
Also how do i go about re-taxing the car, its been SORN, and its gone up from 1.4 to 2l so obviously its on the more expensive tax range?
Just getting round to...
you dont need to remove the engine mate. You can simply disconnect the steering rack from the column, the bottom dog leg mount for the engine, those two little bars from the subframe to the arches (cant remeber what there called), and the disconnect the susspesion somewhere and then just undo...
my interia is all fiberglassed and sprayed so it scratches so easily. Im just putting it in at the moment and find it so hard not to scratch it, im dreading letting other people climb all over it and scratch it.
in a strange way im looking forward to the first scratch being out of the way as...
one more thing before i order another screen, if there is no video input to the screen would it be blank or like a TV screen when its not tuned in (black and white squares)?
Just wanna know so i can isolate the problem to the screen and not the feed to it.
Thanks
Mark
also dosnt the yellow wire provide a constant feed to the unit so it can store the settings, other wise everytime you turned the ignition off youd lose all your settings.
if you did conect the yellow to an ignition wire behind the dash the wire probably would be able to cope with the current draw from the head unit and whatever its linked too, so neither would preform to there best and the wire would get very hot.
Mark
the yellow wire should go striaght to the battery and the red to the ignition. the yellow wire draws all the current for the head unit then from the battery, and the red on the ignition will mean the head unit will only work with the ignition on. the red only draws a small current, it only acts...
just noticed it says 13.5v as the input voltage. Could it possible be that its just not getting enough volts? How would i get 13.5v?
Have to order another one on tuesday i think, its really annoying as the mount for it is already fiberglassed into the dash so i have to have the same screen...
