How do you remove the gear knob on a willimas 3? been tapping it from underneath but it doesnt want to move. Is it just pressed on or is there something else holding it on?
Cheers
O is that what its for to get the radiator out? thought you might need it off to get the engine in and out, surpose i might as well get a removable one then.
Cheers
No i mean 75 mm spacers, not ideal i know. Yeah it did start as an RT just didnt want to have to fit the power steering but worried the stering might be too heavy.
Im just about to start putting a williams engine in a 1.4, but on the williams the top bar thats runs across the front just under the bonnet is removable while on the 1.4 its fixed. Do i need to saw this off on the 1.4 and replace it with a williams to be able to get the engine in?
Cheers

Ive got 18" with 75mm wheel spacers on the back and 35mm spacers on the front and no problems other than wheel bearings. Sorry to steal the thread but has any one got 18" with no power steering? Just want to know if its too heavy?
Ive got it done to, is the best place on a clio to put the screen just need to reposition the oil dials if you have them, other than that its fairly easy to do.
Does anybody else have a button under there passangers wing miror on the williams 3? what does it do? Just bout to sell the wing mirrors and wondered if it is important.
Alot if you want to lower it a decent amount to. Youll have to space the wheels out a bit and roll the arches as much as you can. Then just get the grinder out and see where the fronts rub, youll have to take a bit off the end of the sill where it comes into the whell arch and another bit behind...
12 mm is nothing mate, you can go as wide as you want as long as you do it properly. Ive spaced my rears out 75mm either side.
You shouldnt get any rubbing at only 12mm, if you do you might need to just trim the inside of the arches.
