Front Cross Member

Im just about to start putting a williams engine in a 1.4, but on the williams the top bar thats runs across the front just under the bonnet is removable while on the 1.4 its fixed. Do i need to saw this off on the 1.4 and replace it with a williams to be able to get the engine in?

You need a removable crossmember deffinately mate !! Otherwise the radiator is an engine out job !!

O is that what its for to get the radiator out? thought you might need it off to get the engine in and out, surpose i might as well get a removable one then.

defo easier if you have the removable cross member.
