I just started using zymol last weekend...the car previously had been through car washes/jet washed all sorts and was a bit dull and very swirly.
Spent 4 1/2 hours using the wash, lem clay, hd cleanse and 2 coats of carbon wax....car looked better than it did the day i picked it up from...
Could anyone provide me with the following figures for the mk2 172 please...want to compare the room in the clio with another car.
Front Headroom, Front Legroom, Front Shoulder room, Front hip room and hip point
I dont have the clio manual so i dont know if any of this info is there...
Just getting quotes for my renewal...
called cliosport insurance company and they quoted: £1300 at least (was before they took into account a claim i had)
Renewal quote from Direct Line: £830 (!!!!)
Me sticking with direct line.
Nice try on the insurance though...guess i am too high-risk...
Hi all
This last couple of weeks i have noticed that my "RAID", the auto door lock feature has stopped activating...anyone know how i might have turned this off and if so, do you know how to reactivate.
Thanks
Jamie
I got my avos in at home in a box...they dont lower it much on eibach but i think are overall better springs if you are going for 17", if youre on 16" or less then avos are better.

Just to show once again how much i love my superLs (replaced my superTs with these), lowered with Eibach springs now (this was on avos). Lovely...cant wait for the 03 trackdays to start.

These seem to be much the same as 10k boost, but i would be of the opinion that if you use a quality fuel like optimax which has lots of detergents and cleaning agents in it then your engine wouldnt be so crappy as to need it.
But on an old engine using mostly cheap/sh*t supermarket fuel all...

No problems with eibach on 17"s at all....the avos are definitely 16" alloy springs...too hard a ride with the reduced tyre wall height on the 17"s and catch a lot when loaded at rear

Mines the car on page 1 (17" superLs) they are et37 if i remember correctly...they are quite close to the brake caliper on the front but there is room....

Gotta say that the eibach springs have returned the car to a much more subble ride over bumpy stuff.....much more driveable....
Wonderfull again!!!

Nick Hill was talking to R-sport and they say that things like suspension mods for the cup wont fit a 172...the wishbones are different (hence the different geometry)
So who knows what will fit and what wont

Yep...the whole car is working well apart from the Renault exhaust which is now in for its 3rd replacement....2 centre sections (12000 miles lasted) and 1 CAT at 21000 mile....crap or what!!!

Just had the eibach springs fitted to the 172....much better at the rear again...no where near as nervous, more supple again
Raises the ride height back up but still lower than std

The AVO springs are great...although i am selling them for 55 notes is not down to the quality...purely that they are not brill with 17"s on a mk2...they is so little space in the wheel arch with the 17"s the avo drop is just a little too far
Nice ride quality though...not too crashy but look...
