So we now have ...
1. New CAT. Small hole in some of the weld - Manufacturing fault.
2. Headlight Washer replaced. Leaked water until water bottle was empty.
3. Strange knocking on full lock - Changed near side drive shaft - not fixed fault and it seems most 182s do it. (think its tyre flex)...
Yes the 182 is a great car in lots of ways but i thought i would post up the problems ive had with my car.
Might be helpful to people buying a new 182 or used 182.
Please feel free to add to my list ........

2. Headlight...
Think all do it but that sounds worse than it should be.
I think it has somehing to do with emissions when cold. I start mine in a morning a leave it running for approx 2 minutes before setting off and its spot on.
had our first nipper 1 month ago.
only one downside i have found with the clio .............. BOOT SPACE. just fits the pram in and a bag or 2. rest of stuff (including the mrs) has to go on back seat.
couldnt go for a wkend away anywhere unless you strapped the suitcase to the roof or just...
could be an idea to wait 12 months when the next clio comes out!
how pissed would you be if you had paid full list for your 182!!!!!!!! over 33% depreciation in less than 12 months !!!!!!!
been to reno with car yesterday (again!) and there was a uk car there (no cup pack) ex demo ? miles...
It was approx 6 months ago and told you area groups to tell you if you are in a low risk or high risk area.
Cant search body content now so can anyone remember what the subject was?
Remember a few years back and approx 20 cars on my street got their tyres done.
Some kids had used a dart and stabbed it in all the tyre walls. I got 2 tyres done on my gte @ £60 per tyre because they couldnt be repaired.
Doesnt take a genius to see that just a few minutes work by some...
Mine went in 2 weeks ago for this and they replaced the near side driveshaft. Not solved anythin ! Warranty work must be a nice little earner for dealers ...
Unless the engine falls out I really cant be arsed goin back to reno again. Might even get it serviced somewhere else next time, car...
I had an ali sump welded a while ago on a gte 16v. That seemed ok afterwards but i think its hard to do on ali. Think the problem is the heat and the amount they expand.
For the sake of £40/50 its just not worth it. I would buy your own oil, filter and take it to a VAT registered garage and get them to change it. 10 minute job with a ramp.
I would expect so if somethin major goes wrong. I would get it changed if i were you, going off how many times mine has been back to reno! Going again this week!
You can even hear this inside the car now with the engine running! Can anyone else give me a bit more info as it will be going into reno and i dont want fobbing off with by design bulls**t.
The noise is not a low pitched buzzing noise but a high pitched one when you life the bonnet.
I do...
Only started a few days ago and located it to under the bonnet .......

Mine has been in reno for this a couple of weeks back. They changed the near side drive shaft! feels better but the problem is still there on full lock ?????
My friend went last week with same problem on EXACTLY the same car, they have changed the top mount on the strut (or something like...
Great! thanks for the advice. will check out the insurance groups and see what deal they can come up with. i guess jan should be pretty slow for new car sales as everyone is skint after xmas. should be able to play a couple of dealers of each other hopefully.
My sister wants a new clio and is looking at 1.2 16v. Think reno have a good 0% deal on at the moment. I have said look at the dci model (not sure if this is on 0% or not??)
Can anyone offer any advice on these 2 models? Are the dci a lot more reliable etc ???
Thanks in advance!
