Ive had no major problems with my 172, interior light kept staying on and needed some computer changing, esp and serv light keep coming on but its going in tomorrow morning to have that fixed. My mate managed to set the side airbags off when he did a similiar thing to his clio the bill was massive to replace the seats, try to get a chair from a breakers rather than renault because they will pull your pants down

Is the battery in your key going flat? I used one of my spare keys the other day and I don’t think it had enough power to turn the immobiliser off. It would turn over a couple of times then stop. The light on the dash was going nuts as well.

I leave nothing inside mine really apart from copied cds, i also have a disklock ontop of the cat 2 alarm and ren immobiliser.

Silver without a doubt, I was lucky enough to see all the colours parked up next to each other whilst looking which swayed my decision. I originally wanted a black one but after seeing them I decided on silver because it looks best as the plastic wings look sh*te on the darker coloured cars...

Cant rate renault bolton highly enough, they were really good with me, the first serivce cost me £161, they also had no problems with carrying out warrenty work on my import 172. There are also some well tastey women working there :D

I know they are different, what im saying is that if the seals are still crap then 106s will have the same problem, 1.9 gtis are the nuts on corners its only muppets who lift off half way through that lose the back end the car can be steered on the throttle i love it!!! or used to :(

Maybe they changed the design for the 106 but for the 205 the design was shocking, the seals let water in that destroyed the bearings and then the radius pin makes the back wheels look like they have loads of neg camber to the point where the wheels can rub on the inner arches. Problem on all...

Shame the engineering of it is so w**k, have you seen the bearings that are in a pug rear beam? Mechano springs to mind!!
