12k Service Cost

  Clio 197

Ok, just had my 182 12k serviced today.... 166 squid.

I was charged 25 excluding VAT for 5 litres of Magnatec 10w40 (clio needs 4.8 litres).

Halfords & B&Q sell it for 21 squid including vat! The garage buy bulk oil in a drum.... Ive heard of making a profit, but this takes the P***.

Whats everyone else been paying for their servicing... ?

I paid £161 for the 12K service on my 172 and £26 for the oil, it annoyed me also i hate having to get it serviced by someone else.

you all got bummed !

find yourself a local trusted garage, would have done the service for probably half that !.......even using quality oil and genuine/good quality parts

Then I want my £7 back fecking robbing b******s! :p

Yeah complete piss take, just having to pay for a rubber stamp.

Interestingly, I got a 1L top up kit included (which I feel is necessary for any car).... and a mini spray lube (similar to WD40) (not sure what on earth for)...

Maybe theyre trying to offset those costs....?

your warranty still stands as long as they use genuine parts, i believe

Thats how its meant to be, but if Ive got to pay someone else to service it for the rubber stamp Id rather do it at a renault dealer to avoid any future hastles.
