blimey!!!
when we first tested it at Goodwood (super strict) with cat in place it came out at something 86db.
i guess they must get a bit louder when coked up?
interesting stuff tho!
i wasnt specifically talking about 2nd hand value, just in general, the amount of money for such a (type of) car. I know V6's keep thier value pretty well, especially compared to a corsa (no matter how many 888 bits it has!)
like people have mentioned, for that cash you could have a whole...
initally i was shocked at 23k on a corsa (all told), but then it occured to me people paid 25k for a V6 a few years back, which in my book is just as insane!!
good pics.
i wasnt there (competing) due to a nice case of Shingles.
The series is basically time trialing/sprinting. But it has a slightly different slant on it that you have others on track etc.
Its just trying to introduce whats been massive in Japan for the last few years.
Alot...
what EXACTLY was the problem with the track driving?
I assumed everyone bar Markcup was a novice and treated them like that, until it was obvious we were reading from the same page to over take or what not.
I didnt think the standard was too bad. i didnt once have to dive on the brakes or...

but only if you have been there, on the track in question! :D
wowza!
you must spend some money on rubber!
Probably is worth running them a few psi lower than standard.
Try it, take them for a run and check them, only sure fire solution of getting them right.
serious? thats all you get a set of tyres to last?
thier is either something very wrong with your car, the pressures u run, or your driving style.
I wouldnt image a set of R888's will last much past 2k if you can destroy harder wearing tyres that quickly!
As for what pressures, normal...
i think i have a bit of footage from the Saxo Sports Club session of you mark, but when i caught up you let me straight past! i was hoping for a fight! :D
GDI do remove it (its like 6 bolts holding it on), as stated due to the long trumpets.
If you dont cut the grill then you can see there is no slam panel anyways, so in the quest for looking factory, its hardly an issue.
as for who to do to, your getting the same difference with components...
cheers for all the comments guys.
was just a bit of fun out there, giving her a thrash.
a LSD woulndt go a miss, just not in my budget at the mo.
Car had small issue towards end of first session, we got pulled back into pits and i decided to cut the engine, but it wouldnt re-start. Down...

all good fun! :D
calm down.
to be honest, i couldnt care less about your car. I did almost feel sorry for you when you were being mugged off with the whole build. but now i dont really care.
alot of people on here seem so short sighted. yes the ktec look 110% top b****cks. so it should. its gonna generate...
lol,
sorry, i just assumed you disliked the k-tec car's bracket as its similar (the same item) to the GDI. i do apologise. I guess its what i am used to around here.
but like its been said, each to thier own. no need to try and be clever, boy.
catch tank = function over form. its far from perfect, but does exactly the same job as a £100 catch tank. so i am not really fussed.
And it is neater, its small, sleek, does all it needs to do, no more, no less.
I know you love AWT beyond beleif, but try not to be too blinkered.
but...
is it an ex cup racer? or just a track prepared shell?
i guess it depends on cage and other prep work done to it.
i would guess (total guess) somewhere between 2-3k? maybe?? lol
indeed, anyone can bolt them on. but its machining the head to manifold etc, all the little bits.
And your right about mapping, that can make or break a setup. Luckily Andy and Richard (as in founder and owner of Omex) know just a little about mapping.
As for FCS track time, i can only go...
