Tell me that wheel is held there by more than the net?! :-O You realise how much energy that would have if you crashed at speed? It'd take you in half man!
As per this rather horrifying convo thread, in fact! http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/forum/post/index.htm?f=2&t=25631
Pistonheads this week, "First up is the quality of materials and rock-solid fit of our car’s interior. The dashboard, steering column cowl assemblies, door panels… everything, in fact, seems screwed together with the sort of bomb-proof solidity that is mostly associated with the Germans."...
Deeply suspicious of both non standard head unit and belt neglect. As the poster above says, it's telling about the overall care taken over a car when something like this isn't done.
Sounds pricey to me, like the other poster said about £4500 is the going rate. Has it had it's cambelt done as at this age it would be overdue by about a year by my reckoning?
Awesome! Wonder how the hell you managed to find your car? Lol! To the previous poster, 200's dont have xenons. And I actually quite like the wheels, although I chose speedlines myself, pretty much on a whim...
While we're here, is everybody going to declare their 'extras' on insurance or just assume as they're factory fitted there is no need? I really don't fancy trying to explain to a call centre - I know fully well they'll charge me more rgeardless. Maybe a performance specialist is the way forward...
G/white, cup packs, recaros, black speedline, turning lights - was originally told 8 weeks, but since been told about 4 (so the end of September). The waiting....is....agony...
I used to work in a garage where a 50+ guy used to drive in for petrol with both a williams and an M3. He told me the willy was his favourite, he called it his rollerskate!
Btw I'm 34 have had a 172 for the last 4 years and have just ordered an RS200 - you are worrying too much mate, no need to...
Outrageous statement! The first clio I really fell in love with was the 172 Mk1 with it's bulldog stance and boxer's lantern jaw. When the Phase 2 first came out I was horrified by the 'beaky' styling of the front end. Eventually I grew to love it while owning a P2 172. It was admittedly...
Just putting a deposit down on an RS200:
glacier white
cornering lights
speedlines
recaros
cup pack
Paying cash for £15,530 but 500 is delivery. All found through http://www.buyacar.co.uk/. They are giving me £4200 for my perfect 53 plate 172 that has main service stamps and aux belt done...
Ha! Good idea guys. I'll keep the anthys for selling then. Wonder how much they might fetch with 8 week old exaltos on? Maybe I'll stick them on ebay later this week...
I'm about to do a P/X on my 172. At the moment it has 182 cup wheels on it. Does anyone reckon its worth the hassle of swapping back to the original wheels in the hope of getting a better price, or wont the average renault dealer even notice the difference? Thanks for any opinions!
Has anyone actually ordered from Broadspeed? I don't quite get whether they find you a car, or a dealer does, are they are some sort of broker?! Do they arrange PX's too, or does a dealer work that bit out with you once you have found the car?
I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but can anyone tell me if the recaros recline or are they one fixed shape?! And how are they to live with on a day to day basis - obviously they provide good lateral support but are they hard or pretty comfy?
