As above, you can either set it to f/22 for the longest exposure, or buy from ND filters which make it seems darker, you can stack filters too to get longer exposures.
Reason why it's white is that when you put on a long shutted speed your letting more light into the sensor, it takes in too...
Yeah, got Ryan on Flickr, his work is outstanding. He shoots with a D700 and very good lenses, he's also got some crazy post processing skills.
He makes a good living out of it too, would love to fly him over for my wedding :D
Think ill just stick with what I have plus A SB600 and either a...
I got this when I 1st did mine, and it turned out to be the cpu lock thing.
When installing the cpu, make sure u lift the leaver and then lock it in place. this is what is was for me.
Yeah they changed the law, so if your photography a police office etc they can arrest you under the terroism act.
They all protested out side of scotland yard not long back, but in this case it's power in numbers blar. There looks to be more photographers there than actaul protesters.
I'm not buying a 70-200 as it wouldn't make it cost effective. I have 210 @ f4 which will have to do.
A reflector, really? I've never seen wedding togs with reflectors.
Mr Mrs's Mum got married in the same church not long back, and they had a professional tog there, and he wasn't aloud anywhere near. He managed a few taken at 200mm and high ISO, he got a nice one of the exchange of rings too.
Yer, I'll keep it at 20mm when using the uwa. The vicar wont let me use flash, or get anywhere near the bride and groom when in the church, I would have to stand at the very back with the zoom. Vicar is an uptight old git.
I have no flash gear.. worth saving for a SB600 then maybe?
Just had a email from the couple, the date is 10th Oct, so plenty of time for prep work.
Just a quick query, what lenses would you ideally like to have with you?
Going to have a 50-150 (with teleconvter) and a 50mm 1.4 what else would poeple like to use?
I think the top one is way ott. I find that motorsport looks it's best when just punched (if you know what I mean) so that it's not as flat.
My edited version.

Prefer #1 in HDR :)
It's either a bird in the exact same location in every photo, or you have a massive pieve of dirt on your sensor. Clone it out or clean it.
Good shots, although tbf the shots your after in that environment are usually taken from a couple of remote flashes so light up the car etc, so you did pretty well to get what you did.
