I personally wouldn't trust a generic map but that's just me so this needs checking. A timing issue is also indeed possible and as above, it doesn't take much with these to create an issue that has gone un-noticed on standard management. A timing check is 30minutes work and very cheap to do in...
Yep, as per Dan above OR the A/C condenser rubs thru it if incorrectly fitted/mounts destroyed. Then there's the water pump, Thermostat housing, pipework, etc... Head gaskets are RARE!!!
Normally, the engine must be up to temp to carryout the emissions test and i've not seen a cooling fan on a Clio II function in years whilst carrying out one.
So when you start the car, within a few minutes the output hot air is roasting! Yeah, that is completely wrong and you really need that...
It would be doing it all the time at a guess if that were the case Dan? I've never known a Ph1 (with Bosch ABS 4.0) to activate braking on its own and as the system is extremely basic and balanced it shouldn't be able to violently alter trajectory.
Are you on the brakes at all when this...
Regarding keys being cut they are £12ish from Renault but this is where things get funny if you've changed locks as they are cut to VIN number.
Key fobs can be done for £120 inclusive of VAT here but I appreciate there are cheaper places out there. I buy keys from Renault so £73+VAT just for...
Couldn't do emissions test because the radiator fan wasn't working... erm, okay
What is the air temp output from the heater blower like with this: roasting hot, tepid or not even remotely warm?
The problem with this is that all you are doing is confirming the sensors function which, as you already suspect, may not be the actual problem. Really, you need help and equipment to fix this... you need to test the wiring loom itself from the sensor back to the module.
Mick
You should start by checking the vehicles internal and external earth points but the most important question I have for you is does the car have any problems with water leaking in to the cabin?
The part numbers will always match as there's only the one type. What you need to be sure of is a couple of things:
1 - The doner car hasn't had any airbags or pretensioners deployed
2 - It's from a similar spec car
Different versions of the X65 have different bits of equipment which makes up...
Cheers for the reply - The problem I have is that being VAT registered and buying via the EDU Store, buying a used item isn't really saving me much over a new one and then there's the buying a device without AppleCare debate to consider to (for me at least: I like AppleCare).
Yeah I'm hoping to get something off a trackpad and wired keyboard to, even if I get nothing off the Display.
I can't stop looking at the retina iPad Mini's to. I don't need one but I seem to want one.
Waiting until the weekend as I want a Thunderbolt Display. Somehow, I don't think they'll discount these anyway and it'll be iPads and iPhones... IF they do anything.
Why not just contest the result of they fail you? You can actually ask VOSA to step in and over rule the testers decision but they do have to record some kind of balanced rear brake effort.
I absolutely love iOS again but there are some small features I really miss from Android (not enough to make me go back). Google's iron fist of greed steadily creeping in to AOSP isn't one of them though.
That's fine chap, you don't have to come to me lol
Did the paperwork for the 72k job specifically state it had the dephaser replaced though? If so, what is the date as all parts sold, by law, come with 12 months warranty
Was the previous belt and dephaser change documented? If not, never believe the seller and you've probably learnt this lesson now - You need the belts and dephaser pulley replacing i'm afraid which we do for £597 inclusive of VAT and use genuine Renault parts, seals entirely.

I need a monitor as spreadsheet and invoicing work my the 13"MBP is getting a little tiresome. I am set on paying the completely reasonable fee for the 27" TBD but someone mentioned to me yesterday that a 5k upgrade is most likely due before the end of the year, at worst in the new year and that...
As above I am afraid, chances are that the cranks position relative to the camshafts has been altered by a strand of Aux belt. This would most likely have clipped a valve or three causing a loss of compression and so, no start.
The cams and crank maybe turning but without compression it won't...
