iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

I'm fairly sure Barclays include the iPhone in their 'free' phone insurance as part of their account service thing. The 3G was anyway.

So... with o2 reserving all iPhones for existing customers, is there a chance in hell that their stocks 'might' last a few days? I know they have the upgrade offer, but are there THAT many o2 customers close enough to a contract renewal to justify an upgrade?

If they did any online service then they wouldn't be able to accurately allocate their stock to stores I imagine. By keeping it store-based, I can only assume they can more accurately allocate stock... A hollow gesture, the whole "we value our customers" angle, but it's nice...

Loving the handbags! My opinion still stands. My image of people that are queuing up from 4am outside a mobile phone shop, to buy a phone, are that they will go home, remove their full length leather trenchcoat that they wear all year round, put their hair into a ponytail and load up two...

Totally different to queuing for a concert or sports event - those queues occur because there is a true limit of availability. Once those tickets are sold, there are no second or third or 25th batches on their way. But, yeah, it's just as bad as queuing for the Next Sale. Horrific event that I...

Booking a day's holiday off work to queue up to buy a phone? Seriously? I'll save my valuable holiday for important stuff, like being at the birth of my first child, kthx. If O2 are sold out by next Saturday then I'll try a few weeks later, and maybe a few weeks later again. I have no...

I 'think' Apple are going to link with the networks to sort out contracts also? Not sure how, mind. Anyone have any ideas about my previous 'business use' question?

Apologies for the potentially supid question but I'm in work so can't check anywhere else... Do all the networks do a Business tariff and are they similar to Orange's as far as we know? I may see if my Dad is happy contracting up a couple phones through his business, so he can contact me and...

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) A bit ominous that O2 were creating a 'countdown' hype which they have now stopped. My guess is they planned to at least release prices on the Apple pre-order day but have held off as the networks have blatantly engaged in a game...

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) It's thought the White ones are available from launch, just not pre-order. Tbh. It all seems too much hassle. Think I'll just go simplicity when my contract runs out in August and save some money - my 3G works fine...

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) £600 for a phone. f**k me. Why is anyone paying that much for SIM-free when network-specific PAYG are likely to be cheaper? I'd like to know Pay Monthly O2 phone prices but my testicles aren't going to explode if they don't...

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) If you can buy the phone as PAYG and keep your existing O2 contract, that's the best option. You can cut your normal SIM down to make a micro SIM.

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) What sort of job do you have where you have to use an iPhone, on a personal contract, for business email?!? I don't see how O2 would benefit from not arranging a pre-order system tbh, it's money in the bank and a way of reducing...

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) There will be zero haggling, at least for the first few months. O2, even if they're not, are still seen as THE iPhone network so they'll be selling contracts by the bucketload.

iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads) Aye, there won't be 'mega discounts' for pay monthly contracts as O2 know that most people won't be able to justify the initial outlay but will happily pay a high monthly contract price and a lower, if not still comparatively...
