I'm fairly sure Barclays include the iPhone in their 'free' phone insurance as part of their account service thing. The 3G was anyway.

So... with o2 reserving all iPhones for existing customers, is there a chance in hell that their stocks 'might' last a few days? I know they have the upgrade offer, but are there THAT many o2 customers close enough to a contract renewal to justify an upgrade?

If they did any online service then they wouldn't be able to accurately allocate their stock to stores I imagine. By keeping it store-based, I can only assume they can more accurately allocate stock... A hollow gesture, the whole "we value our customers" angle, but it's nice...
