Can't believe you didn't email me dude; we're finished. On the other side, nice one! :)
Daniel - I've just taken my coilovers off my Bora if you want them? They're only cheapy hot-tunings but they do the job of battering the sump guard. £100.
I'll await the news tomorrow dude :)
Cheers for the comments people, good to see you on here as well Phil!
Actually, I'll send you a PM in a bit or tomorrow... I had the info you sent me saved in a PM on 106owners, but my PM's have been taken away!
I've used mine a few times and, to be honest, I can't be bothered trying anymore.
Many people reckon they're great with a PC and make paint look shiny, but the truth is it takes a lot of practice and technique to achieve proper correction with one. Plus, the fact that I keep breaking backing...
:) Cheers chap.
Oh, the leathers are coming out, too tatty for me! The Rallye cloth is in near-mint condition so I'll stick with that until I find something a bit neater.
If anyone has a 106 and fancies the half-leather interior, point them my way!
Swapped over the front seats last night, rears still to be done. The leathers aren't in amazing condition, but they were really cheap and are way more comfortable than the cloths that were in before!
The roof might have to stay I'm afraid because I'm not looking to throw money at it that I can't make back later on. If it was vinyl it would have been taken off the day I got it, but as it's paint it might have to stay...
It's not so bad in the flesh, and the circles from were I bought the...
PMSL, I think I've been on one spirited drive in her in 3 weeks... weather and work haven't really helped!
Popped to Tavistock today to pick up a gearbox and also came back with a leather/alcantara interior. A few cigarette burns and a bit of leather rippage on the driver's bolster, but a...
Got rid of the carbon fuel filler cap today:
And also got a boot lock surround with the Peugeot lion badge still in place, just to standardise her a bit more :)
Off to have a look at what parts I can make use of from a recently broken GTi local to me. Hopefully I can pick up a...
Gave her a proper clean today. Started off polishing with the Kestral, but my backing plate broke (second one in about 3 uses... :( ) so I resorted to just doing the rest by hand. She shines up well, but I need to get someone with more skills to polish out the swirls... I'm rubbish at it...
Strange how things come around!
A mini-update...
I tihnk you'll agree that these rear lights are friggin' awesome! :S
So, I had the package fairies bring me something round yesterday:
Much better :)
Ive also picked up a new rubber mount for the backbox, so that'll be pushed...
Lol, nothing beats a lie to make up for poor stock availability...
Awesome wax and fine to apply by applicator. You can usually get a thinner layer by hand, but I don't as it wrecks my hands (as do most cleaning products).
Very greasy though, so I tend to have two separate MF's for clearing...
That's all relative. It may not be original on an Internet forum, but it sure is for the area in which you live and surely that's what matters most?
Style the car how you like it to be styled, so that you feel happy driving it. For every person that says "that red looks awesome" there'll be 10...
Sorry mate, could you make that more into an idiot's guide? Lol.
I park up, turn off the ignition, then press the button? Is this the button on the opposite stalk to the horn? Then I get out and lock by the remote as usual?
This sets the alarm but means only the lights flash I assume?
Cheers! :)
Lol, punishment.
Cheers mate, I still love Duf but for some reason no other Williams held the same apppeal! Probably because, for the money, they're all rusted or CatD!
Lights are on their way, I think I've sourced a new badge for the boot lock and a colour-coded filler cap and she'll be...
