Lol, I've always been a bit irrationally racist towards the Xsara's. I know and accept they're cracking cars, but can't stand them!
I'd have a 306 GTi6 / Rallye if you can find a good one of those for under a grand!
The thought only really came to me today and is still in its infancy but, yeah, I can already see that there's a bit of a lack of good ones and his was ridiculously bargainous!
Too soon though, won't be buying anything for a month at least.
Your mission, Dan, if you choose to accept it!
Got one... but could always go bigger. :o
PMSL, he's so certain I'm not sure I'd want to risk it! Maybe I'll send him a PM if we're winning the CC Final with minutes to go!
I could, but I'd rather just start a thread to promote a bit of "Mk1's are awesome" discussion... :slap:
Holiday's already booked and paid for - jetting to Geneva next Sunday :)
That idea sucks.
I was planning on spending £800-900 on a nice new set of wheels for the Bor-ing when I had a bit of a reality check and decided that I'm going back to standard with it. I never drive the thing and it's sole purpose is a motorway hack for the missus.
So, with potentially £800-1000 now "freed...
Christ man, stop going to random garages and seek advice from someone reputable! If one place doesn't want the hassle, try another! At the very least you want someone to diagnose the problem or, if you're happy to spend money getting it repaired, then you'll know it's somewhere where it'll be...
Whilst I think you've done an excellent job, I'd be straight back to the powder coaters if I wasn't happy with the finish!
Still, looks glossy! Hope the finish lasts matey.
My thoughts, for what they are or are not worth...
I pay £x for a car. For whatever reason, I need to claim on the insurance for it. The insurance company offer to reimburse, in full, what I paid... I'm content.
I don't know the details, but £3,800 does seem to be alright market value for a...
I took the HU out of the Cup once to fit a Denison to it and could never get it to 'click' back in properly; no room at all! The VW's far more user-friendly...
Car's looking well. Went of the Jap plans?
Driving up the hill into town, I pulled out of the road by Shauls Bakery as you were held up by a pedestrian crossing.
You were a couple cars behind me on the way into town before turning off onto Magdelan Road.
Looked nice. :)
Hmm, I'd have thought your budget would be more than enough to be honest mate. Mine was effectively £3.5k with 90k on the clock.
I wouldn't worry too much about the old style RS4's already being on it also, they're pretty cheap to pick up now... everyone has moved on to BBS and...
They were just cheap hottuning one's mate, about £180 I think? They're nothing special, a bit crashy, but absolutely fine for normal daily drive use.
What sort of budget have you got?
Exactly mate. Pottering round town or sitting on the motorway for 50 miles a day and you can't go wrong.
Lol, it's not too bad mate, have only had one big sump smack! Sump survived but the cover's seen better days!
Yeah, stuck it up when she was nice and spanking after a clean; tis...
Yeah, part-exchanging always makes things easier and I suppose you have to give a bit on price if it saves the hassle of advertising for months!
Comparing the two that you've linked to, to the ones in the classifieds that I can see, I'd definitely say they can reduce on price a bit. Maybe just...
In fact, I don't know if you can browse the classifieds as a forum user, but have a look in there... I can see 4 Clios on the first page alone that would be worth a closer look.
If you can't view that forum, pay the tenner and become a member. It'll be worth it for a better quality car, trust me.
Both overpriced IMO mate, take your time and be patient and you'll be able to get a 2003 172 / Cup with 50-70k miles for £3500 easily.
I sold my excellent condition, 53 plate Cup in Iceberg Silver with 70k for £3500 about 8 months ago.
I love how the mentality on here is you either have to be an expert on the track on you're not allowed on at all! People have to learn somewhere and if they happen to have the money available to learn in their GT3, then so be it.
I know I'd be s**t slow on track on my first time on it...
