There's loads of things I want to do - Pugsport, Cyclones / Nimrods, Cams, etc but she's staying as standard as possible. :)
She'll stay lowered, the black roof will stay on, as it's paint, and the Rallye interior will stay (as it looks loads better than the GTi cloth effort!) but that'll be...
My thoughts were initially a light spray of blue over the carbon Dan, would that work!?! A bit transparent... kinda.
I was in the same situation Ben. My hand was forced when I realised how much I relied on my Bora when it was sat outside my wife's workplace, 20 miles away! The hunt for a...
Lol, cheers chaps. Yeah, she's been a bit molested but did admittedly look pretty damn mean when she was used on track. Phil (Fuzzy Orange) sold this to another member on 106owners and bought a 172 Cup I think, so is probably on here somewhere.
Found his original progress thread on the car...
Got up at half 5 on Saturday to drive up to Stoke, where I picked up this:
It's the old car of the chairman of 106owners, Fuzzy Orange, and he's looked after it well!
It came with a sunstrip and countless website stickers which have all been removed (FCS one comes off on Sunday). It's...
Seen a pretty damn cheap 172 Exclusive with 186,000 on the clock and 'part service history'.
Having not really kept in the loop with 1*2's in recent months, is this something I should even consider parting with money for!?!

I quite liked AG shampoo but it's very slick and doesn't create suds. For this reason, people tend not to rate it. However, I prefer Megs Gold Class for the bubbles andgood finish it leaves.
That's cool, cheers mate. I'll have a search over on DW.
I know people say that the Menz 3.02 is just a better, quicker, more DA-friendly version of #83 so I might just bite the bullet and get that!
Can anyone give me a bit of a guide to working Megs 83 by DA? General consensus seems to be it needs working for 4-5 minutes per square foot... but how long and at what speeds?
It's a Kestral DAS-6 BTW. :)
Ease of use is pretty easy. It's quite greasy so you need a couple MF's to remove residue and grease. There's an optimum window where it's set a bit but not gone hard (like any wax I guess!).
Durability is pretty poor tbh. People seem to apply 2/3 coats where I've only ever done 1 at a time...
Richy's got it pretty much spot on, you can clay at the same time as washing though if you have a strong shampoo mixture.
Wax is very subjective and you'll find that great waxes become "rubbish" weeks later because something else is released. SRP & EGP is always a great combo and my favourite...
