Once in the Xbox Video app on the xbox you need something to "push" the file to the xbox. I mentioned in the Xbox One thread about an app for your smartphone/tablet called Skifta. Works a treat if you have all your media on a NAS Drive.

Yup. Any old hard drive if you want to watch vids listen to music or view pics. if you want to use it to save games I believe there is size limit and it formats the whole drive. I used a 2gb USB stick for my gamer tag and some game saves for when I went rounds mates houses etc.
